I am reading a great 4 volume trilogy by John Crowley called AEgypt.

Actually the A and E are run together the way the Brits like to do sometimes but my keyboard won't.

His premise is tha Giordano Bruno discovered an ancient culture and history overlapping that of the one we know, in which the desert Egypt was replaced by a real (green fertile) AEgypt
which was full of real gods who were in themselves expressions of basic factors of meaning which lie below the level of words, the original embodied hieroglyphs.

And the age is turning and new realities (including perceptions of space and time) are emerging.

Or not. He lies a lot, and plays games with reptition (including subtle differences), tricks of memory and so on.

The books deal with the Great Seal and other Illuminati artifiacts, with astrology, alchemy, miracles, the Rosicrucians, Shakespeare, hillbillies, cults, BDSM, imaginary incest, demon possession, loneliness, underground hidden cities, coincidence, child custody, murder, war in heaven, the Infant Jesus of Prague, the Inquisition, pain, memory, doughnuts and sheep.

You'll love it.

Couch it in flowery and vague language, make the document look really old or claim there is a really old document that you can't release for fear of damage, and you'll do fine. It's worked before.

Did you know that people are less likely to behave badly when in the presence of an eye, real or drawn? As long as they can see it, anyways. Perhaps it had something to do with that.

What about the star of David on the dollar bill? Does it mean something too?
First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out—
because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Æ is a separate letter, called 'ash', that cropped up a fair bit in Old English and is still preserved a little (encyclopædia, for example).

Ahh. Yeah, it's just a six pointed star. It's only the Star of David if it is specifically made of the paired triangles, right?
