My Japanese friend and I agree that people should not use those words in English, and should otherwise replace them with perfectly acceptable English words. We both feel that it is degrading to his Culture, just as the leprechaun and the green beer is degrading to my own. We also both agree that this whole 'put on animal ears' fad is simply ridiculous.
But how will you be a cat girl if you don't put on cat ears!
And yes, that does qualify you as an otaku Nanatsu. You can only be one of three things if you are wearing animal ears: drunk, a furry, or an otaku.
