"Never be deceived that the rich will permit you to vote away their wealth." - Lucy Parsons
Socialism is an economic system characterised by social ownership of the means of production and co-operative management of the economy. "Social ownership" may refer to cooperative enterprises, common ownership, state ownership, citizen ownership of equity, or any combination of these. There are many varieties of socialism and there is no single definition encapsulating all of them. They differ in the type of social ownership they advocate, the degree to which they rely on markets or planning, how management is to be organised within productive institutions, and the role of the state in constructing socialism.

I just think most of their teachings are laughably stupid, as opposed to some of their teachings.

Also, if a "hard-core" Christian hates another sect of Christianity, chances are they're not a really good Christian.

I don't hate Mormons, I have Mormon friends and they are actually quite friendly and not religious wackos like they're stereotyped to be.
I dislike some of their beliefs, but I don't hate any group of people, that's just prejudiced.

I don't mind the no drinking part, but I do find it a tad hypocritical that they don't mind polygamy, and actually encourage it at one point. Yet they want to ban homosexual marriage.

Ah, so mainstream Protestantism and Catholicism actually NEED Mormons to throw THEIR religion into relief. Nifty.

However, they do send cute boys around to chat and if I wasn't in a relationship I would perhaps try to corrupt said cute boys. I explained to one Mormon the important role of Valkyries in Norse mythology last year. He failed to talk to me about his religion at all. Heh.
