My home town is a resort/deep sea fishing town that doesn't come anywhere close to that stereotype.

Then again, this isn't Britain.

I have mixed emotions about it. There are days when I love it, and days when I hate it.

Yes, I hate it where I live. Yes I want to leave. I'm open to being kidnapped even. Just warn me in advance so I can pack my books.

I love it where I live. I can pick on the bandwagon jumpers and homer fans (and to make the latter sweeter, there is a high school with homer in its name!), snow can get fun (coating of snow) or shitty (Blizzard of '10 - February style).

And for the "party for no good reason" one night a year (and this will tell you WHERE I live pretty much)....

Going to to the top of a hill at 3 AM, standing and dancing in the cold (done that), snow (yep), wind (yep), sleet and rain (this year) for four hours (hopefully you're still warm from the drinking before!)...

....just to see THIS guy at daybreak.

SIDE NOTE: Anyone that's never been to "No Good Reason To Get Drunk & Party, but We Do It Anyway" (bka Groundhog) Day, and wants to: for semi-obvious reasons, I guess I'm the person to ask.

Was born in the Netherlands and still live there, I hate it, I don't feel at home here at all. I swear, as soon as I get the chance to leave this country behind me, I'll take that chance.
My nation is not like my nation page at all, it contradicts itself, we don't EVER eat kangaroos, that's just very sad. Also vegetarianism is compulsory yet it still says it's the nation's favourite main course and all and stuff.

Nah - the only thing I don't like about Aberdeen is how cold it can get in winter.
Please note that Mid Lothian is based on fantasy. Any references to anything/one/where that exists is completely coincidential.
Frequently used abbreviations: HoS = Head of State; HoG = Head of Government; ML = Mid Lothian; KSS - Kate Stephens-Smith.
Fancy an embassy in ML? Click me for details. (PS - I'll return the favour.)
I am usually rewriting stuff about Mid Lothian - just because it's true today isn't necessarily true tomorrow.

Warning - Full-time Grammar Nazi at work. You have been warned. (I guess that's due to my mum being an English teacher. Also, don't use masculine words to describe me - my name is Rebecca, which is clearly a feminine name.)

Freaky nice. I was in San Luis Obispo and people would just walk up and start a conversation about my denim jacket or introduce me to their dog. Nice once I got used to it.

Denver is good, Tom Tancredo notwithstanding. New York City was great, too.

Not too much snow? Wiki sayeth that northern IN gets up to 80 inches. Of course, in Denver the snowiest month is March. I've seen three feet on the first day of Spring.

I Love Florida. To an almost nationalistic and sexual extent. I remark that, with the proper government, Florida could be better than the United States. (Cue obvious foreshadowing for genocide)

Where I'm living is awesome, I just wish there weren't so many right-wingers.

Low cost of living (a new two-story home runs around $80k-$120k, gas is a bitch at $3/gal, but everything else is below average), nice scenery (live within 10 miles of the Appalachian Parkway), and decent weather.

I live in Mexico City, which is technically an unsafe place, but when you compare it to the rest of my country and even some cities in the US (that's not counting any other countries of course). It is actually quite safe, besides, I love the life I'm leading and the way of life that is led here.

I hear the air pollution can be quite bad in Mexico City.
