I fucking love where I live: San Francisco. There's all kinds of culture, lovely rainy weather, food, people, and beautiful landscapes (albeit to the North and South of the City). Too bad there's no snow, though. 8)

Oh. That isn't much of a problem then considering we've gotten about 4ft this winter..

If you dont like where you live, LEAVE.

Seriously you can move around the world with ease. If you dont like your city leave it. Its not too hard. Pack your stuff and go.

If you hate where you live there are only two option in my mind.
a) you live under a dictator
b) you want to complain as you are so sad and have nothing better to do.
One persons freedom is always at the expense of another. There are these dam laws in this country of mine preventing me from saying "hi" to my neighbour with a baseball bat. All I want to do is have my freedom of expression so he looses his freedom of movement.

My town is pretty crap. There's nothing to do, some parts are just scummy and it has no soul. I want to move back to the city but my finances need sorting before I can do that.

Well I sure as hell can't tolerate Vegas. Like someone else said, Vegas is good for rich people, and tourists, not so good for regular people raising a family. I am having trouble persuading my parents though since they were raised here, maybe I will have to wait another four years till college to get out of this crappy place.

It's cheap. It's low on taxes. Sounds good. For regular people.

Yeah, but its expensive.

A Los Angeles resident claiming Vegas is expensive? Fascinating. The median house price is just under $200,000. So what do you get for $200,000?

A house 2.5 times larger and 61 years newer. And Vegas is expensive?

"With ease"? Moving to a new place is quite expensive, and takes planning nor matter what you do. You need to find a relatively cheap place to live, a new job and so on. Sure complaining doesn't help, but if one really dislikes where one currently lives, why not let out the frustration somehow?
Not to mention, if you want to move to another country you need to deal with citizenship and such. You can't just "pack your stuff and go", unless you want to move to Somalia.

I live in Virginia and I absolutely hate it! I know that people are supposed to be "nice" in small towns and rural areas, but its actually very rare you meet even one polite person! The weather is worse though. In the summer we get extreme humidity with tempetures climbing up to 100 degrees, and in the winter we get freezing cold temperatures with up to 20 inches of snow. I have recently visited LA and San Diego and theyre both beautiful. If I could pick my dream place to live it would definatley be one of those 2.
