I am from Texas, but I am simply arguing that the federal government should have no authority to tell a state government what and who to arrest. IF it is a big issue to the federal government let them arrest them.

The government has a duty to protect America from all threats both foreign and domestic i.e people coming through the Canadian and Mexican border. So yes, it does fall under government juristriction. The problem with deporting the children of illegal immigrants if they were born in the country is that it's impossible. If you're born in the US, we can't deport you for being illegal, because you're a citizen.

Anyways I think that illegals don't get the credit they deserve (they do make up a sizable percentage of the US workforce), and it wouldn't be all that bad if they got state sponsored schooling.

Only it takes some ridiculous amount of time for a mexican immigrant to gain the nessecary paperwork to enter the country legally. As I said in one of my previous comments well done, but i do believe the government should add to 14th amendment "Born or naturalized in the United States legally

Our founding father didn't have the immigration problem we have today, so they are excused for that loop hole. But since we live in an always changing world, I believed my suggest is appropriate for the situation America is in right now.

Also, to be specific when I say "born here legally" I mean, off course that anyone having false or no documentation of coming into this country legally would be arrested and deported to their point of origin. As my suggest states conceived here legally that means all members of said illegals, whether it be children or adults, would be deported together.

But its not. Maybe if passed reform laws. But think about this for a second, if we have tougher laws, and we go and catch and punish as many as we can, we'll only be spending more money per person then before due to the longer time period we'll have them in our jails. Or we can just make it easier to get in here.

Why is it whenever someone speaks about anti-immigration someone always assumes I only mean Mexicans? I mean ALL illegals, I don't care where they're from, I'm 3rd generation American of Irish decent and if my great grandparents can immigrate legally to this country then they can too.

Is it really too much to ask they enter the country the legal way; I think not.

EDIT: And I speak from witnessing the system at work everyday up close. Because of my work, I could tell you things that would make you sick. I can tell you that a disabled American citizen has a harder time getting and keeping medical insurance than most illegals do because of sanctuary laws.

That's stupid. If it's a "major offence" then they have to be jailed ... and the US already has a terribly high proportion of their population in jail.

There are about 3 million people in jail in the US. There are about 11 million unauthorized residents (illegal immigrants). You want to QUADRUPLE the number of people in jail?

The problem with deporting the children of illegal immigrants if they were born in the country is that it's impossible. If you're born in the US, we can't deport you for being illegal, because you're a citizen.

You're right about that. Some other countries (Germany?) may consider the children to be their citizens (due to nationality of one of both parents) but generally they're citizens ONLY of the US. Thus, they can't be "sent home" — deported — because they have no other home.

How about we stop offering incentives to come to this country illegally? Such as in-state tuition, birth citizenship (great idea that - encourage illegals to breed kids they can't afford), etc. Just a thought. Maybe we could try enforcing the immigration laws for a change. Maybe penalize the employers that use illegals as cheap labor. Maybe stop thinking the US is the one country in the world that has no right to say who gets to immigrate and be a citizen.

Then maybe I could go back to thinking I'm lucky to live in a country that people want to come to, instead of one they want to escape from, like majority of nations in the world. Instead of just wanting to deport 'em all, which is how I feel after just a few minutes listening to the pro-illegal-immigrant crowd.

In fact I do not necessarily want to be deport 12 million people, because, for one thing, I think it unfair that all of these people should be uprooted and expelled just because the US govt decided not to enforce its own damn laws for 30 years.
