I for one miss World in Conflict, that game was a brilliant Strategy game and badly needs a sequel, I'd still play it but there's not much online action and you can only plkay a campagin so many times.

Wait, how many players are in WiC? That game is already dead?

Marathon has been out for almost twenty years, and it still has people playing multiplayer.

LOL! Don't jump! So selfish of U, BF3 would just sit there & become dusty, cold, & unused.

Neither of them deserve it, honestly. I'd rather see an indie game like Nuclear Dawn or E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy get the title. (Even though I haven't played the former and the latter was kinda terrible and weird.)

I wouldn't mind Fable 3 getting it, either.

NEITHER OF THEM DESERVE IT? :palm: They've worked their rumps off for 7 years to create this epic game, they've went through great lengths to be as realistic as possible with audio & graphics & were creative about it, they CLEARLY care about their audience by taking their time & putting a beta out to listen to the audience, while they knew graphics these days play a huge part, they didn't solely focus on graphics but made the playstyle epic as well, they've done nearly everything they could to be unique while still being an FPS, they're satisfying both PC & console gamers, when people began complaining about a few things concerning the beta they stated to the public that they were already approx 3 months ahead of what they beta looked like & nearly everything everyone complained about is diminished, so obviously they can hold their end up by realizing what's wrong with their own game unlike MW3, their maps aren't just full of cloned buildings & whatnot nor are they unbalanced like most FPS, etc, etc, etc....
They definitely deserve it.

I have. I just thought you guys might like to check them out. This is a "thread for Gamers" after all. You could have also told me nicely to stop instead of unnecessarily giving attitude. And so I will continue to post. I never understood how people can be so rude to others so easily. It's just really weird. Then again, I come from a polite, Buddhist Asian culture.

I also noticed this by the OP: "Any and all things about gaming talk about it here (in a non-flaming, non-trolling manner of course)"

Because it's only barely not spam. If you've done it a couple times and nobody has shown interest, it's time to stop. In my experience, people get the point better if I'm rude.

I will continue to post. The only people who will make myself stop is, well, myself - a basic tenet of Buddhist teachings. I'm not trying to tick anyone off here, I'm just saying where I'm coming from.

I will post using spoilers next time. In my peoples' culture, it is important to mutually cooperate with others. And so I will not use the large pictures. I often forget that I have a 2560×1440 screen which makes the pictures look REALLY small. I admit, they can get extremely annoying on smaller screens.

Anyways, on a positive note, any upcoming games you guys are looking forward too? What genre of games do you guys & gals like? I like many genres ranging from sports to turn-based strategy games.

I'm hesitantly looking forward to Skyrim, and I was excited about both Nuclear Dawn and A Game of Thrones: Genesis. Turns out that I can't play the former unless I'm willing to shell out some money and the latter is pretty terrible. As for Skyrim, I'm sure it'll be great, but if I set expectations it will most likely fall short.

I'm low on money as well (blame outrageous med school loans). I can't wait for Skyrim! I agree that when expectations are set high, the game turns out not as great. I learned that lesson with Star Wars Battlefront II :palm:

Battlefront II is one of the greatest games I've ever played. I've owned three copies thus far, and I'm keeping the one I have now for the rest of my life. I'm more hesitant to spend money on a game if I'm not sure it'll be good, since I can't return it after. Alas, nobody's made a torrent for ND yet.

I remember for Battlefront I (Xbox version at least), vehicles had a cool HUD for 1st person POV. But not for PS2. I wish I never gave away Battlefront I. Do you have a favorite map (from either game)?

Bespin Platforms from one, since I could turn most any area on it into a killing field. There are quite a few I like to play in two, but my friend and I almost always play Kashyyyk and Kamino. (Since Kamino is something of a spiritual successor to Platforms.)

I liked the Citadel map, but I don't really remember the other one. I hate Jabba's Palace, though. Too small.
