Unless they're made by EA Sports... they find a way to ruin everything except for hockey and NCAA football...

Example #1... NASCAR... Peaked at NASCAR 06, and got a little bit worse consistently until NASCAR 09, which is a total cr@p game. i only keep it because if I get rid of it, I would no longer have 1 copy of every EA Sports NASCAR title.

Example #2... Madden on Wii. 08 was almost like the Gamecube version with a side of motion gaming, which wasn't bad at all. 09 was a bit worse, and then 10... oh gosh that game... it sucked. The worst graphics in nearly a decade, Franchise mode was unlockable only by code, and too much emphasis on minigames. 11 and 12 got a little better, but considering 10 is the worst Madden title ever, that's not saying much.

Goes to show what will they think of next.

The only thing fun about Madden is playing someone else and using Hot Routes on every play to drive down the field every time I touch the ball. :D

I love a vertical passing attack. I use Hail Mary on every pass play almost. I haven't even had a 100 yard rusher on ANY of my Madden or NCAA games in maybe 3 years...

Haha, not even. Curls, ins, outs... I'll pick a play I like then mod a route or two if I see the defense doing something I don't like. I even Hot Route when I'm going to run to give whoever I'm playing the illusion that I'm going to pass.

My favorite, though, is when I'm in 4-Wide Shotgun and the other team blitzes 7. Move the RB out wide, Hot Route him to run a Go pattern, throw the ball to him if/when (and when happens a lot) he's not picked up, large gain.

I never actually read the defenses, to be honest.
I just wait for an open receiver, and if there's none, I scramble.

When I'm not using the deep bomb, I love hitting fullbacks and tight ends for consistent 7-12 yard pickups. Grinds down the defense if they're almost figuring out my aerial blitz.

I might have to pick up the novel at some point.

It's a good read.

Reinstalling Medieval 2 Kingdoms. It's by far the most 'sandbox' of all the Total War games; though I haven't played Shogun 2 yet, so I hope the developers learnt from their mistakes of Empire.

shogun 2 is verymuch not sandboxy. it plays quite differently to most of the previous total wars. i'd give it a miss imho.

In my experience, Medieval 2 Kingdoms is far better than Shogun 2. Also, the Teuton expansion is the best Total War game I've played.

Without having played many that could be contenders, I'd have to say Skyrim. I'm sure there are better games, though. Space Marine was decent, but doesn't really deserve the title. Off the top of my head, something that isn't just another FPS would be nice.

Even New Vegas would be better than Battlefield.

I'm sorry, but that title is likely either going to B3 or (god forbid) MW3. The other games simply don't have the punch and marketing that EA and Activision does. Then again, knowing Act, they'll just pay for MW3 to get the title.

Neither of them deserve it, honestly. I'd rather see an indie game like Nuclear Dawn or E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy get the title. (Even though I haven't played the former and the latter was kinda terrible and weird.)

I wouldn't mind Fable 3 getting it, either.
