I honestly don't understand your logic. Telling him there was nothing of value behind a door clearly meant to intrigue the player is just as much of a spoiler as telling someone who the murderer in an Agatha Christie novel is.

:palm: Jesus Christ. Are you seriously that ignorant? Telling somebody there is nothing behind a door is on par with saying a name of a character in a manga that the anime counter part hasn't gotten to yet. It is not a spoiler at all. Your example was shit since they are nothing alike.

Yes. Haven't played it online, I would probably be slaughtered. (If anyone actually played online still.)

I like using the Roman armies best, as they are the most balanced however I find their Triarii to be lacking against cavalry compared to the indestructible pikemen. Unless you hit them from behind.

Also found that pike men are beast at defending a settlements gates. Position them into a kind of 'V' formation and watch the enemy get cluster fucked in the 'jaws'.

Greatest victory in R:TW.
Town, stone wall.
4 units of Town Militia
2 low javelin units.
5 units of Rome's basic cavalry.

against a 3/4 full Greek army of various pikemen. Didn't even get to my walls.

Yep because telling someone literally nothing is telling them what comes next. It would only be a spoiler if they said what was in the actual vault or about the story itself. Are you another person who thinks that saying the name of a character is a spoiler?

See, I would think that telling someone what came behind a door (after the player had specifically asked not to know!) would count as spoiling.

Telling them that it's nothing is something.

If I told everyone here that the vault in Borderlands contains nothing (oh come on, that game sucked ass anyways), it would still be something.

No it really isn't. A spoiler is only a spoiler if it actually spoils something such as telling a person who dies or something like saying who the secret mastermind is.

There's a difference between saying that nothing is behind a door (which, again, is clearly meant to get the player interested in what's behind the door) and saying that a character is introduced in an anime. If you don't already understand that difference, I don't know how the hell to explain it to you.

Ah, yes. Best victory I ever had was one unit of Town Militia against an entire Gallic army with a non-character general. I set the militia at the gates, and through a stroke of luck, killed the enemy general within the first minute of fighting. THE ENTIRE ARMY ROUTED.

It was beautiful.

I remember a time in Empire: Total War where, as the Prussians, I was engaged by two ful strength armies from Poland-Lithuania. It was probably the longest battle I've ever fought in a Total War game, and by the end I was reduced to, I think, four Foot regiments, who were out of ammunition. I had to baynot charge several Polish-Lithuanian regiments that were fresh to the battle. But I won. I don't even remember how many casualties I suffered, but I do know that it was a significant part of my army.

Or at least thats how I remember it happening. I wonder if I saved the replay.

Nope. If they said that the best weapon of the game was behind the door then you might call that a "spoiler". Spoilers only apply to plots and not some retarded thing such as what is behind a door. Everybody who thinks so is just a crybaby who would bitch at a person just saying a name of a character.

You're right. The difference is one is a video game and the other is an anime.

There is no difference since neither one of them are spoilers.

In this case, what could be found behind the door was the culmination of a game-long subplot. I fail to see the distinction.

Yet it wasn't. They said there was literally nothing behind the door so it is not a spoiler. "Oh that's the door where you find out it was James who killed Bob". That would be a spoiler.

How is it different? It reveals how a plot culminates. It's the same thing.

No, it does not at all. The door that leads to the culmination of the game-long sub plot is in an entirely different part of the building. The door in question has no connection to the first except for the fact that it is a door.
