Minecraft is really great for just chill-axing. Until you get the irresistible urge to build a 300 ft long zeppelin, a stealth bomber, ICBMs all of which work designed to work in movecraft and actually work. (Well except the Zeppelin that just crashes the server due to its sheer size)

niice, i have to say though the more recent version of minecraft isn't exactly stable :S

i think my friend and i made some giant wall in minecraft, it's now sorta a cordon between civilised world and barren wilderness, with breaks of endermen trolling about moving like 5 blocks halfway up the damn thing.

i actually liked the witches mechanic in that game, it's the bloody sound effects that pissed me off, i don't want to relax to a game by hearing some screeching in the middle of nowhere. i get that all the time in real life as it is.

If you're looking to relax I'm pretty sure L4D/L4D2 is a bad game choice :P

I've been on a EU3 binge lately. It's a paradox game so it's obvious complex and tedious, but it's not stressful or jitter-inducing like action games. It's good to me.

After looking that up I think I'm going to have to download that one day. I wish Koei never stopped making ROTK games.

Mosasauria wrote:Anybody else really loving the Battlefield 3 beta?

YES!!!! I can't fucking wait until that game comes out!

I reserved that, modern warfare 3, and the new Assassin's creed.

I'm really looking forward to battlefield 3, i've been a fan for a very long time. Modern Warfare 3, however, seems just like all the other ones (I only reserved it because I have the ENTIRE series and it would be stupid not to get the newest). Assassin's Creed Revelations seems like an underdog, most of the gamer news has been focused on CODMW3 and BF3, but everyone is ignoring ACR. I think that it will have the best story line, but not multiplayer since it was just introduced. So heres my review.

Battlefield 3:

The series has been ground-breaking in the field of multiplayer, and with the introduction of the new frostbite (I think that's what they're calling it) it will reach unbelievable levels. They're adding more multiplayer class options, and air vehicals (Which i'm looking forward to) so this should give it an edge multiplayer wise to COD.

Overall: 9
Single-player: 8
Multi-player: 9.5
Graphics: 10

Call of Duty (MW3):

I've been a fan of call of duty since the beginning, however I think it has taken a turn for the worse. The unpredictability of the game, which it use to have, is now gone. Graphics have improved, but numerous glitches still exist in both single and multi-player. They, however, seem to have a pretty solid storyline. They left off on a cliff-hanger which gives them a perfect place to start off with a bang, I just hope that they utilize this....

Overall: 9.5
Single-player: 9
Multi-player: 9
Graphics: 8.5

Assassin's Creed (Revelations):

Ah, I love a good underdog. Assassins Creed: Revelations has become a sideshow in the game world, however it has a deadly amount of potential. The storyline on this game is completely solid, set in a Roman Empire setting (along with probable modern day encounters) Etzio has been crossed numerous times, now he is a deadly killing machine. There are going to be many new additions to this game; Bombs (Over 30 different combos), possibly large guns, new swords, new clans, new multi-player interface and configuration, and a possible addition of vehicals from Da Vinci. I am truly excited for this game.

Overall: 9
Single-player: 10
Multi-player: 8
Graphics: 10

I'm not a big fan of Modern Warfare, so needless to say, I probably wont be wasting any money on MW3.

Can't wait for Sword of the Stars 2 though.

My backwards ass finished The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion a while ago.

I have to say, I'm a little underwhelmed.

I'm trying to play as a Spellsword (before, I played as a Knight and was surprisingly bored all throughout).

It baffles me how glitchy the damn thing is. I can't go anywhere without there being a frame rate problem or a clipping problem or a dungeon button that doesn't work and the goddamn omnipotent guards.

It made me miss Morrowind.

What, the protagonist in the video game actually walked through a quarry wall?

My mistake. I meant I went into the quarry.

Currently downloading the BF3 demo. It's currently talking an hour. I guess it means my connection is moderate. I had 3 friends tell me that it took them 10 minutes, 1 hour, and even 5 hours for them to download it. Hopefully, it won't be so terrible.

Battlefield 3 beta (X360) is amazing, I've only come across two small glitches, and with about a month until full release, I think they'll sort the major stuff out.

Enjoying blowing up buildings once you get out of the metro too.

Ya, it took me a little while to download too. The PC version is EXTERMELY glitchy, but the ps3 and xbox version is pretty good.

It was the No Mercy map and the retard AI was the one who set her off. I don't even know how he did it. I already passed her before and had to go back a little bit because the exit was that way. It was like he just went up to her and startled her. I wonder if I kill her in one shot if it will still count towards the achievement.

BF3 beta is amazing. Playing it on the 360, wish I could play it on the PC. I've encountered:

A glitch where people disappear under the map near the M-COM station A in the first 2 on Metro.

I've also noticed when people go prone of a slope their heads seem to extend outwards like some weird turtle.

Also seen people fly across the map after being shot :/

Waiting for Skyrim.

Not looking forward to MW3. The campaign is continuing on from the last one, so looks like a 80% chance of being fail. Seen Multiplayer game play clips and it looks remarkably similar to MW2. I'll probably rent it first rather than buy it.

Anyone played RO2? I had it for a little while today, but it wouldn't run past the training mission. I, for one, was disappointed with the fact that they changed from the old RO model of single-player=practice and added a campaign.

Did they AI not turn off flashlights? They've startled her a few ways by keeping their lights on when I've played. Always at the most inopportune time.

No you don't. Although the game is great, its laggy as hell with the servers, and you need to download 3 different programs/plugins to run it. (You download and install it in EA's steam ripoff "Origin" then it opens up your web browser, where you then install a plugin. After all that you to play, you open origin, hit battlefield 3 go to the web browser and then hit find match. Its way overcomplicated. Still fun. But they need to fix that shit for the final release.
