So, I just counted all of our PS3 games....

We have 36 PS3 games. I wouldn't think that was so bad if it wasn't for the fact our PS3 is only about 2 1/2 years old. That doesn't include downloaded games from the PSN. Like L.A. Noire, Journey, Dust 514, From Dust, Dead Nation, Wipeout HD, and so on. The last 2 I mentioned we got free when the PSN went down.

I have about 34 X-box games which includes downloads such as From Dust, the Batman games I got from Marketplace.

I lent about 3 to my uncle a long time ago, so adding them in I may technically have 37.

The New Starcraft doesn't look overly impressive if the trailer is any indicator.

The Mass Effect 3 Citadel DLC is hilarious.
"The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."—former Nixon domestic policy chief John Ehrlichman

Replaying Bioshock and Bioshock 2 in anticipation of Infinite.

Bioshock is still an expertly crafted game. Choice is a theme, not a mechanic of gameplay like so many have attempted to implement poorly in the past and present. The atmosphere is pitch perfect, the characters and enemies are massive and terrifying, even if they're only a few inches wider and taller, maybe.

I'm one of those people that was still mystified by Big Daddies, and Bioshock 2 only cemented that mysticism. I'll admit, I cried at the end of it.

Maybe I'm a sucker, but if Bioshock 1 and 2 are bad games, I don't want to play good games.

I will admit, though, that the gameplay can sometimes be a little generic, and I find myself min-maxing money, ADAM, and ammo.

I started playing Bioshock 1. I need to get back to it. So far I'm loving the atmosphere, and the game play actually. Mostly because enemies actually go and HIDE when you shoot at them, instead of just standing there like idiots. It makes it all the more tense. It was one of my dads most highly praised games, and because I'm not afraid of horror games anymore like I used to be, I decided to play it.

We will probably have Bioshock: Infinite too, because it is one of my dads most anticipated games

I heard grumblings that it was fan service, but I don't have ME3 and haven't looked into it.

With characters as interesting as the ones they have in ME, I'm surprised anyone's grumbling about fanservice.

I'd love to just hang out with Garrus Vakarian. Take him to a Ruby Tuesday and ask him how he's going to murder all of the people in the restaurants with the crap on the walls.

Nothing beats the Elites of Halo Reach though. They were psychic. Even if you had active camo and thus were invisible, several kilometers away, aiming at them with a sniper rifle, their spidey sense would tingle, and they'd look in your direction, and then start taking cover or strafing around. And then of course you had skirmishers. I think that I can safely say that skirmishers are some of the most annoying enemies in any game I've played, especially on the higher difficulties.

Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P.

I've been in the beta, and it's pretty solid, though it'll take a while for the metagame to settle down to the point where it can be properly balanced.

It's the only new game out of all the new games that have came out (and are about to) that I've cared about enough to want to buy.

Until then, Alice: Madness Returns can tide me over.

I recently installed Tribes: Ascend, Planetside 2, and APB Reloaded through Steam. Tribes is pretty fun. I unfortunately need a new video card to play Planetside, and I am about to try out APB.

Soooooo glad I rented Aliens: Colonial Marines. Gearbox completely screwed the Alien series videogame-wise for me. Hell, the demo looked better. And NOTHING that the demo showcased was actually IN the game. The graphics were basically the same as the old games, the story felt incomplete, the Aliens ran at you like suicidal grunts from Halo without grenades, the boss fights were basically beating up an Alien in a walking forklift and then having your captain run over the Queen in a full-on dropship fighter thingy, and the dialogue sucked. I mean, hell, when she figured out there was an Alien inside of her, all she said was "A spider thing jumped on my face. It was dead when I woke up. It's okay now.

Screw it. I'm going back to Aliens Vs Predators and stabbing people with an Alien tail. >.<

That's because they were. Somehwere along the line, Gearbox fucked up and simply handed the game over to several other devs. Really, it just seems to have been a victim of shitty management. Although I'm never buying a gearbox game for screwing with one of my favorite franchises.

Yeah. I mean, you just don't fuck up the Alien franchise. At first, when I saw the demo and trailer, I was like 'Oh this will be great! Maybe live up to the Aliens Versus Predators series!' But nope, just had to screw it up. And agreed, Gearbox can go bankrupt for all I care. I mean, it looked like VERY little attention was paid to everything. Every game mode has only two maps, the multiplayer needs major balancing, there's just so many things wrong. I mean, it probably wasn't totally Gearbox's fault, but they had 7 years. 7 YEARS. The game was announced in 2006 for crying out loud. I'm even going so far as saying Call of Duty is better than Aliens: CM. And I have a strong dislike for that series.

I'm starting to really question why some companies do that. They label a game with a widely-known series, make it crappy while spending very little work on it, just to bring in money. Hell, at least make the attempt of.
