Obviously, I'm a console gamer. I tried PC gaming, and it didn't really work out for me. At the moment, I'm playing Homefront the most, which I love. Other times I just play CoD: Black Ops, and Mafia II.
Though with Black Ops, I don't usually play anything other than Nazi Zombies.
Recommendations? I really do enjoy Homefront, but like any game, it's bound to get boring at some point.

I agree. BF is the ULTIMATE war simulator, ArmA II notwithstanding. Halo has its stuff, like Forge, and CoD has all that customization, but neither has badassery to the epic scale actually as a part of the game. BF and those other games will be like comparing a hawk to a dove.

You must not have seen the new features. Prone, for one thing. Bombers, or some sort of jet, is another. Not to mention highly improved building destruction. All of that and more, plus the shiny new graphics.
Unless I mis-read your post, and you're saying MW3 will be the same shit with new graphics. In that case, you're pretty much right. However, MW3 is using the same engine it used in 2. BF3 will leave it in the dust.

That really bothered me in BF1942 that you couldn't go prone.
In BF Vietnam you could if I remember correctly.

So they added one thing that's been a staple in other shooters, a jet that won't actually make any sense (if you pilot it, since you can't exactly jump in a random jet and pilot it), and the ability to destroy buildings. I see absolutely no large improvements over other shooters, especially given that they could have managed fully destructible environments long ago but they've always been too busy making the game look prettier. Call me when there's some actual innovation in an upcoming shooter. (Assuming, of course, that any company ever gets off it's ass long enough to risk money by being innovative instead of selling the same game with a few changes every year or two.)
