Crimson Skies, without a doubt. One idea I've had rattling around for a long time is maybe bumping the timeline up to the in-universe jet age, moving the backdrop to Europe, and having the story revolve around a squadron of mercenaries rather than pirates.

Freelancer. One of the best Space-based adventure games made for the PC. I think Microsoft sold the studio, and that was that. The game has a strong following and a good mod community, but I wish they'd make a sequel. The controls were quite intuitive, and I enjoyed the single player story line. With modern hardware and some additional content, it'd make for a fantastic sequel. I haven't played the two major mods for it yet (Crossfire and Discovery), but they add a huge amount of content, and a ridiculous amount of extra star systems to explore.

On that note, maybe a second attempt at an open world Jurassic Park game would be a helluva project as well. I know Trespasser wasn't the most well-recieved installment but dammit it was ambitious, and I have a hard time faulting that.

Agreed. Athough Homeworld was extremely hard for me to figure out.

It wasn't that bad once you got the hang of specifying vertical coordinates in the sensors screen. Homeworld 2 brought the ability to send units directly to landmarks from within the sensors screen, which was quite useful.

Although what I'd really like to see? A battlefield-style game set in Warhammer 40,000, with the Tau, Eldar, Imperial Guard, Orks, Tyranids, and Chaos being playable factions, with stronger units like Astartes being less numerous and locked until a certain amount of points was earned in the style of SWB2.


Oh, and hell yeah, Sid Meier's Pirates FTW.

No, the grail of first-person shooter is my idea for a Star Wars game I posted a while back that would make Planetside 2 look like COD. Sadly, it could only be run by computers or consoles decades from now.

Zoo Tycoon 2.
I've spent veritable months of time playing that game. I've created unique exhibits and environments to host things.
A graphical update, combined with even more animals and possibilities for co-habitation(Which was, by far, one of my favorite things to do. Wetlands with a shark upstream? Hell yeah!). Perhaps new mechanics to gameplay, and even more customization. Birds would also be a must.
And if there's a sea creature and dinosaur expansion again, for fuck's sake, include some plesiousaurs, pliosaurs, and mosasaurs.
