Arizona. All it does is make America look like a country of assholes. Besides, the place seems to spawn right-wing nuts.

Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P.

Imo, I would grant independence to California or Vermont. OR, allow the Republic of Cascadia to exist. :)

Chucking CA would be a dumbass move, their GDP is so large that they almost are a nation. Cut them loose and you lose a lot of taxes.

I'm aware of these facts; but I wasn't saying 'which state the USA could afford to loose.' ;)

That's the point, the US would lose on that deal, a better one would be to boot southern CA but keep the north.

I say we just give up Arizona to Mexico, besides, most of the population is already Mexican anyway.

If we had to lose a state, Hawaii would be a good one. It is not as if they could make us leave Pearl Harbor. Or, we could just move all the Commies, Greens, Socialists, and Liberals to penal colonies in the Aleutians, hang all the gang members and drug dealers, and re-educate the Mexicans to give them a basic working knowledge of English and traditional American values. Or, we could just take over Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Cuba, Jamaica, Grenada, and all the other Caribbean countries as well as Greenland and maybe Iceland to boot. Or, and this is my last suggestion, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, the Dakotas, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Alaska, the Yukon Territory, the Northwest Territories, Manitoba, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia all create a new country.
Genghis Khan did it right.

If we seceded...
we would have to get MAJOR border control from the north and south. So that requires drafting around 500,000 people
Our mountains will be hard to control border wise. The only reason every idiot on the face of the Earth thinks we want to secede is because 1!!!(Stay with me here) person thought of that idea and told our govener

Also, we arent all right winged

The Guadaloupes? Highest point 8700 feet? Maybe. Given where they are, they should be in New Mexico, though.

I know what goes on in Texas. Allowing religion in schools and getting rid of Thomas Jefferson in textbooks for not being Christian enough.

west virginia. we already hate most of the us already, and it'll drop the US's obesity and illiteracy figures. the sane people can just move out of the state and the crazies can stay. tea partiers can move there too. everyone wins.

Please tell me English isn't your first language.

The State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, to give its proper name, is as useful (to give that word its proper spelling) as any other state.

Whenever someone is weaving in & out of traffic at 100 miles an hour in a 55 or 65 MPH zone, it's almost alway someone from New York or New Jersey.

Some of the rudest people in the county are from the most populated parts of those states.

I was once pumping gas in South Carolina & I could hear the sound of a woodpecker, is was so quiet & peaceful, then a car pulled up with New York plates. The driver got out leaving his motor running & the passenger threw the car's trash out the window & into the lot. There was a trash can in plane view & just a handful of steps away from the car.

I walk over & picked up the New Yorker's trash & threw it into the can, looking at him the whole time, not one sign of remorse, no show of thanks, just a scumbag with no respect on how other people live. Of course, not all people from those states are like that, but if you grew up in the southeast, you know someone with disrespect on the roads, more than likely has New York or New Jersey plates, most likely going to Florida or back home from FLA.

I imagine when I travel up that way doing the speed limit the locals think "I wish this slow hick would get off the road!"

That has to be an Eastern New York problem. I live in Buffalo, where we rival the Canadians in regards to politeness (and I can compare just about every day, because a lot of them come over on the Peace Bridge and my boyfriend is Canadian). We might as well be on another planet from New York City.

New Yorkers aren't rude, they're just... Different. They don't really care about smiling at each other and being "friendly" because it's just unnecessary and a waste of time. Why talk to a perfect stranger on the subway when you can just listen to your ipod and block the world out. Plus, don't we deserve it? We are one of the safest cities in the country after all. Oh and by the way, it's only really the city and the surrounding suburbs that are like this, once you get to the exurbs and beyond people are a bit friendlier and will actually acknowledge your existence (mostly because there's nothing else to do here (yes, right now I live in the exurbs, but I'll probably be moving back in a year for college)).

Also, what's with all the hate towards Texas? It's becoming a major hub for tech companies, especially software developers. There's a reason they're calling the area around Austin the "Silicon Hills" and Dallas the "Silicon Prairie". There are also a good amount of liberal moving there too, the ultra conservative movement has been losing ground there, last time I checked.

Why not just make it from one big and arguably stupid nation into a few or several smaller, and, on average just as stupid, nations? If it was economically viable, it seems like it would shut some people up about problems with the USA if only for the USA not existing anymore.
