At least learn to spell the names of the states. :palm:

It would be even better if you understood that population is more important than land area and Vermont has fewer people than Rhode Island or Connecticut. If you go by population, merging Vermont and Maine makes MUCH more sense than anything involving Massachusetts or Connecticut. Massachusetts is already one of the bigger states in the U.S. by population, so we really do not need to expand.

You might also be interested to know that Maine and Massachusetts were admitted to the Union as one state and later split because we needed another free state to maintain the balance of power between free states and slave states. If you are going to let Massachusetts absorb another state, it really ought to be Maine.

Texas has world class infrastructure and is rich in energy. Louisiana has many Oil and Natural Gas Rigs of it's coast and the refineries and massive ports to handle the volume. Not to mention all the money to be made of the taxes used to access our ports won't go to the federal government instead it would go to state coffers. Texas and Louisiana if they were allowed to buy all federal owned property in their territories could effectively say fuck you to the fed and be perfectly independent.

If the USA had to lose a state, let it be one that's entirely landlocked, and doesn't border Canada or Mexico. One of our interior states. Let one of them secede, and become a sovereign nation. I think it'd be kind of cool if we had a little country entirely surrounded by our own, an enclave, like Lesotho or Swaziland. I'd like that.

Actually you pointed out one thing, and anti-Muslim activities aren't right-wing. I know left and rights that hate Muslims with more of them being found in Liberal states. California is huge and is notorious for being Liberal. Plus they have the largest debt in the nation, the most gay-happy city on earth(San Francisco), and their laws are all left-winged. Like when they tried to get rid of homeschooling....

Time to update your knowledge. Many conservatives live here as well. Never heard of Prop 8? Debt sure. California is also the 4-8th largest economy in the world.

Gay happy city? Other cities have it as well. SF just led the way when good Christians were trying everything to suppress them be it law or through violence(fag bashing).

They didn't try to get rid of homeschooling. They just enforced laws that were on the books since 1953.

I have mixed views on homeschooling. Parents teach values. No question. Not every parent can properly educate a child. I have seen some pretty fucking stupid home schooled kids. I have seen smart ones. A co-worker's friend is a private school teacher and she gets homeschooled kids all the time. Especially when parents go back to work. She says she dreads the interviews. Most of the time it's the kid is brilliant as per parents claim. She has to re-educate the kids in the basics.

She is for more frequent testing of homeshool kids so they aren't screwed by their "brilliant" parents.
