What Gender Are You And What Alignment Do You Best Fit?

Postby Aeronos » Sun Jan 16, 2011 11:04 am

Exactly what the title says. What gender are you and what political alignment do you best fit? I'm wondering A) what proportion of people around here are which gender, and B) if there's any obvious corrolation between gender and alignment around here. I don't intend to use the statistics as fact, I'm just curious as to what we get.

For categorical sake:
Authoritarian: Left/Authoritarian Economic Freedoms, Authoritarian Social Freedoms
Conservative: Right/Libertarian Economic Freedoms, Authoritarian Social Freedoms
Liberal: Left/Authoritarian Economic Freedoms, Libertarian Social Freedoms
Libertarian: Right/Libertarian Economic Freedoms, Libertarian Social Freedoms

So in the political compass, authoritarian is top-left, conservative is top-right, liberal is bottom-left, and libertarian is bottom-right. I hope I don't need to elaborate more on that!

I myself am female, best aligned libertarian. Aaaand go.
My Political Compass
Economic: Left/Right (2.18)
Social: Libertarian/Authoritarian (-9.71)

Note: I am female, so please get the pronoun right!

Liberal I guess. But since the term is usually coined for all spectrum's of the left, I usually call myself socialist-libertarian.

Another male liberal here.

May I add this is probably not the best place to get a generally good idea of the population...

Male (biologically), liberal (self-identified). With or without appropriate qualifications, though, this applies to everyone else on the forum apart from the ten or so female posters and the five or so conservatives.

Male, Authoritarian? I think. I don't know, I don't label myself as socialist, conservative, liberal etc. I'm definitely left wing on social issues though...
we, unlike the bourgeoisie, have nothing to lose and therefore our expression will be the only honest one, our words will be the only challenging ones and our art will be the one revolutionary expression. We need new noise and new voices and new canvases to become something more than the last poets of a useless generation.

Well, gender means gender identity, so if you identify as a female now, then I'd say that instead of male, but eh, there's no strict definition really ;)

I was hoping to add Neither for Gender and add Centrist to alignment, but alas, the poll only had room for 10 ;_;

I interpreted "alignment" as meaning like, "chaotic neutral" or "lawful good." I need to play less DnD.

I fit none of these as I am economically left libertarian and socially left libertarian. Economically, the Left is not always authoritarian, you know.

I'm a male, and I'm conservative on social issues, but liberal on economic issues. I guess the best way to describe me would be a socialist conservative.
