That I will agree with especially his ranting about Government Messages in his head or whatever the fuck he was rambling about. Though likelihood is he has a long history of visiting psychiatric institutions.

I can't agree with this. All ideas must be allowed to bed expressed, because it's always going to be the case that a few of the really unpopular ones will end up being true. Any regime that ever stops a truth deserves immediate destruction, because truth is literally more important than anything else.

I guess I should have clarified that I knew that. The paleoconservatism was a bit of a side comment. But regardless, by 1896, both parties had moved away from paleoconservatism, with Populists in the Democratic party and the industry in the Republican party. And then Progressivism (and eventually the New Deal) ensured a slow, painful death.
