In Soviet Russia, Puberty( and hormones) hate you!
Seems there to be there are 3 options.
1) Finger painting, it solves everything.
2) Use a real razor not an electric one, you're doing it wrong.
3) Wait until you grow out of it.*

That sounds less like puberty and more like pregnancy. Or PMS.No Names Left Damn It wrote:I never really had a mood swing problem during puberty, so I can't comment.
I never really did either, unless 'horny' counts as a mood. And that wasn't so much a 'swing' as it was an indicator that pointed one way constantly.

There are only three times in his life that a man is allowed to cry:
1. When he buries his father.
2. When he buries his mother.
3. When Lou Gherig retires in Pride of the Yankees.
Anything other than that, you suck it up.

Whoever gave you that advice was a pussy. Real men can't cry, we've evolved beyond tear ducts.
As for the OP, I can't really comment. One day girls had cooties, then the next I had started shaving. Somewhere in between I tripped going up the stairs a few times.
