The Floridian Coast wrote:The reason there is no philosophy that has ever resolved our deepest questions, is because reality, and our existence, is trapped somewhere between the subjective and objective that is neither and both.

The problem with asking the meaning or point of life is it craves something objective while being fought and rationalized by the subjective.

It is easier to answer, what is the nature of life. The nature of life is ambivalence. Infinitely complex, infinitely simple, comforting and depressing ambivalence.

The truth is that most of the questions that plague us so much are, in some sense, logically incoherent and meaningless. We're so frustrated because we have brains that inherently ask certain kinds of questions all the time, and some of these questions make absolutely no sense outside of a very narrow context. Purpose is one of them. There's no answer to the "meaning of life" because it's not even a legitimate concept to begin with. There aren't answers to questions that make no sense.
Cool shit here, also here.

I frequently ask myself that very question. What answer do I give myself...?
To die as worthless, pointless and purposeless scum.
You should not give in to evils, but proceed ever so boldly against them.

What is asserted without reason may be denied without reason.

A lie is a lie even if everyone believes it. The truth is the truth even if nobody believes it.

I believe that if there is any single goal to human life, which applies as a near universal positive: is industry, or more accurately creation; to leave a lasting and positive imprint upon the world as an individual. Any and all industry, art, construction and business, science too. Every object of material desire and need is attained through industry and creation. The goal of every human being should be to leave the world a better off then he entered it, to have lived his life with positive value to the rest of society. To be a builder not a parasite on society. It's an easy enough goal, I think, the vast majority of world can and does achieve it, so I say if there should be any goal it should be that.

At least that is my opinion.

That's why I hate democrats.

They leave no real imprint on life and they want it to be easy to be a parasite on society.

Beyond the biological reasons, there really isn't a purpose. I am 100% sure our reason to be here is: nothing. Its just that people aren't willing to accept the fact that we don't matter, so they want to believe theirs something else.

Growing strong, finding an able bodied mate, reproducing, caring for the expectant mother and child, then moving on. For a male of course. A female is around to incubate the embryo, give birth, care for the child, then die.

Here, here!
I believe that human beings as a species have no real purpouse other than to further the advancement of our species and sustain ourselves in a habitat in which we can function. With sentience, however, comes the ability and responsibility to sustain and take care of our habitat itself, so as to keep a place where we can further our species.
That is my standpoint, however bleak.
But humans are enigmatic creatures and are, at times, very reclusive when it comes to taking care of its own. Every human being has his or her own purpouse which he or she believes they must reach and master. The christians believe they have a purpouse, as do the rastafari, buddhists, cultists, and what have you.
