But robot Dwarf unicorn puppies are nothing like your God. They do not create. They are not bound by any sort of laws. They merely exist outside the realm of everything and affect nothing. The universe proves their existence because how could the universe not exist without some sort of divine beings?!

That is what you argument sounds like to me. I'm not lying or trying to make you look silly. You just think your argument sounds convincing because YOU believe it. To me, it's absolute hogwash.

God is allowed in schools. Private schools are free to teach God as they wish. It's just public schools that may not endorse or teach God, but students in public schools may be religious as they wish.

It makes us stronger? Why did he create us that way?

Then by your own definition they cannot be God because "they merely exist outside the realm of everything and affect nothing". God indeed does affect a great many people, therefore your robot Dwarf unicorn puppies (as defined by you) cannot be God.

But "god" or atleast the idea/concept of god does exist in this reality and is effecting the very people who are talking about this idea and concept on here so dont say god effects nothing. The entire idea of god has led to me following this thread every now and then and typeing in it. If god did not exist this kind of debate would be incomprehensible to us and NSG would never have these god debates becuase they wouldnt exist, they couldnt exist without the idea of god

Also the Idea of god have motivated people and civilizations to do things. Even if he does not exist, people brought him into existence by dedicating conscious energy to him or it or whatever

I have. This is my conclusion:

Bullshit. Bullshit bullshit bullshit. You can worship God all you want in school. You just can't force it upon others. Even if God was banned from schools, however, why would that cause him to spite all of humanity? Is God really that depraved a creature? Even us humans consider that cruel and unusual.

But God lets bad things happen because it makes us stronger.

Bull. Fucking. Shit. Does cerebal palsy make children stronger? Does Alzheimer's make the elderly stronger? Does HIV make the Africans stronger? Does rape make young women stronger? Does a tour in Iraq make young men stronger? Does cancer make anybody stronger?

And this is because God created us this way. We are like this because of our Psychology. If God created us, he did so in such a way that this would be the case. It doesn't have to be. This is not something that has to be universal amongst every possible type of sentient being.

I do like this quote, nice choice. I do remember that Columbine happened before they took religion from schools. I have heard that God makes bad things happen so we can become stronger, what about the people who die? Have they already achieved extreme strength that God has allowed them to enter heaven? What about the people who die of old age but have committed crimes against humanity? Or the Hitler's who commit genocide and do not get to live through all of the things that make people stronger?
EDIT: By me meaning removed from schools I meant "Under God" removed from the pledge. And I go to a Methodist College. I had to take my religion class, I received an A.

A man went to his barber who was religious and said

"I dont know how you could believe in god, so many people are suffering which is why he cant exist" said the man to the Barber

"Barbers dont exist" said the barber

"Why?"

"Look at that scruffy man outside with the untrimmed beard and long hair, his hair is so messy which is why Barbers cant exist" said the Barber

Four Catholic ladies are having coffee together. The first one tells her friends, "My son is a priest. When he walks into a room, everyone calls him 'Father'."

The second Catholic woman chirps, "My son is a Bishop. Whenever he walks into a room, people say, 'Your Grace'."

The third Catholic woman says smugly, "My son is a Cardinal. Whenever he walks into a room, people say, 'Your Eminence'."

The fourth Catholic woman sips her coffee in silence. The first three women give her this subtle "Well.....?"

She replies, "My son is a gorgeous, 6'2", hard bodied stripper. When he walks into a room, people say, 'Oh my God...'."

also just so everyone knows. I dont actually believe in the western christian god, Im not chirstian and I am not apart of any organized religion becuase I think organized religions are just institutions of control.

I believe that people have the right to seek somekind of enlightenment, comtemplate and think about existence and reality and come to their own personal understanding of this bodily human experience of life and that an infinite number of paths exist becuase we cant expect people to all go down the same path because they dont all work for everyone. I do believe that their is a universal intelligence or the mind behind everything in nature and the universe (Which may possably be totally incomprehensible to me in this current plane of existence) But I believe people are entitled to try and get closer to this universal mind just like people are entitled to not believe in the universal mind or god

Anyway im of the belief that a mind is like a parachute, it works better when its open :)

Not. At. All. The proof of Pluto's existence was based on extensions of scientific laws and principles that have proven to be true.

Your random attribution of God to stuff does not prove God exists any more than I could prove Tusken Raiders exist. Any time you come up with this "God made this happen" or whatever, I will replace God with Tusken Raiders.

You are free to have your opinion. You are also free to be sadly mistaken. The entire universe proves God's existence.

Yeah, a lot of religious people say that... None have been able to demonstrate how the universe proves your magical sky faerie's existence...

The creator of the Tusken Raiders... George Lucas, has fully admitted and acknowledges that Tusken Raiders are indeed a figment of his imagination and wholly fiction.

Maybe he just doesn't realize he was divinely inspired?

A close look at the entire universe also proves that God is rather indifferent and uncaring.
A closer look at nature proves that God loves suffering, bitter irony and beetles.

So yes, he exists... but why on earth worship him ? Are you a beetle ?
Getting an education was a bit like a communicable sexual disease.
It made you unsuitable for a lot of jobs and then you had the urge to pass it on.
