Don't get me wrong, I'd love to think that you worship God because you think he started your car for you, but you're just not convincing me that you're not trying to take the piss out of Christians.

I worship God because I believe in God, not because my car started, but because its what I chose to believe. (My parents never took me to church, I had friends who took me when I was younger), so no, it wasn't because what my parents told me what to believe.

My car started when I asked for it to start was only confirming that he helped me.

Hey, Christianity at it's base is a good practice, however it's been corrupted by man, much like everything else.

-Amount of money the Jones family spent: $38,200
-Amount of new debt added to the credit card: $16,500

Gravity, as I understand it, is far less understood than evolution and natural selection. Where is all the controversy about gravity? Of course there is none. The controversy about evolution and other fields of science comes about because their findings increasingly support the possibility that the universe and life on Earth could have happened without any god or gods. This greatly upsets some theists, because they desperately want validation of their beliefs.

I don't believe in the theory of gravity. I find it more likely to be concentric force.

How about evolutionary chain higher?

There is no "evolutionary chain" on which one can be higher or lower. If there were, and it were defined by success, then bacteria would be the highest form of life on the planet, seeing as they permeate every nook and cranny above, below and on the surface of the globe.

Does that exist ? If it is an advantage to become simpler or more stupid, natural selection would favour such a "downward" move...

Also, I agree with the poster above me. Evolution is only a chain by evolutionary links, there is no "highest lifeform".

Humans are so arrogant and stuck up that we, despite being nothing more then a singular particle of dust in this otherwise endless universe, can come to the conclusion without even exploring past our own solar system that infact there are no greater or higher life forms then we, and that infact we originate from simply nothing in the beginning to which we cannot even begin to explain rationally having not been able to venture out into this universe.

Perfectly logical and rational indeed.

When we find a "greater or higher" life form I'll be happy to admit I was wrong. Since you're pointing out the mote in humanity's eye, what about the beam in your own, which is the assumption that an obscure tribe of nomads on this planet, "a singular particle of dust in this otherwise endless universe," was chosen by not just a greater and higher life form but by the actual creator of the entire universe itself, to be his special people and to whom he would send the physical manifestation of himself? Good grief, I haven't had an imaginary friend since I was seven. Maybe eight. When I became an adult, I put away childish things.

If we are to believe that anything exists outside of our universe, we are to believe in the supernatural. If we are to believe that any intelligence is involved in nature, other than that of the minds of individual organisms that happen to have brains that encourage sentience, we are to believ in God.

In other words, if you believe nature has a mind, you believe in some sort of God.
