Faux News isn't "biased" toward the right. It is overtly and unashamedly right-wing, and has been for a very long time.

You have CNBC and MSNBC confused.
I myself am a regular CNBC viewer for people such as Jim Kramer.

Idk, I always figured if those guys really knew what they were talking about, they probably wouldnt need to host a tv show to make ends meet....

Heh, well, I'm glad you're amused, but sorry I made you cough, I guess.

And there was this study, which showed that Daily Show viewers were significantly better informed than Fox News viewers.
The real problem with Fox is that it runs roughshod over the division between news and commentary. MSNBC might have commentators with the bloviating asshole shtick, but their straightforward reporting is less affected by ideology than Fox.
But in my opinion, this debate obscures the real problem, which is that most media in America is exceptionally poor, and that these 24-hour news networks sacrifice depth for immediacy.

O'Reilly, meanwhile, tells truths that the DLM would rather not have brought to light. Those who characterize him as a "liar" have been regularly exposed as frauds, shams and liars themselves.
It never ceases to amuse me how threatened lefties feel by Fox News. They're just terrified that some point of view other than the far-left rubbish that the DLM spews on a daily basis might actually get a hearing. They also resent the huge audience that FNC has. They haven't reconciled themselves to the fact that they have lost the power to control the distribution of information.

I've seen a great deal more of FOX than MSNBC, however, largely because my grandfather tended to leave it on in the background for hours on end, so I couldn't really help hearing a good deal of it when I visited my grandparents every week or two. Its bias was painfully, ridiculously, makes-me-want-to-throw-things-at-the-TV obvious, and so I really can't imagine MSNBC being more biased unless its commentators typically open every news segment with, "We want Republicans to DIE!" It might manage equally biased, though, and if I'd seen more than about ten minutes of MSNBC in my life, I'd have an opinion on whether or not that's the case.
--but it's definitely not at the level of Fox News. After all, Keith Olbermann may be annoying, but at least he understands civil rights.
