Because misogyny and homophobia are wise and loving, whereas tolerance is immoral.

Nothing worth having is easy. This applies to the concept of Heaven, too. If you knew exactly how to reach it, it wouldn't be very hard to do, so there wouldn't be much of a point in it.

Very nice metaphor, but what does God have to do with morality? What does your god specifically have to do with morality? While I was in my atheist period, I was just as moral as my current Hindu period.

Have you not noticed the trends amongst atheists on this forum? It reeks of perversion. They speak of orgies, drug parties, and complete anarchy.
God and religion are entertwined. Religion and morality are entertwined. When you let go of God and religion, you let go of morality. This is what happens to people who believe truth is relative.

That's a bloody good thing.
A question for you all- God knows everything, correct? Everything that has happened, is happening, and will happen? Then didn't he know that Adam and Eve would be tempted into eating the apple? Why purposefully make a sinful species?

Knowing exactly how to do something does not at all, of necessity, make it easy.

To see if they could redeem themselves, perhaps. Or, since that runs contrary to his omnipotence, because he was bored. And perhaps even his omnipotence is a misdirection.

While Christians often speak of killing millions in the Mid East using nuclear weapons, butchering illegal immigrants, and persecuting homosexuals.
I ask you, which is more unethical?
