How ironic, gay marriage is legal in my state, but a lot of churchs won't perform same sex marriages :palm:

Why is that ironic?
Venicilian: wow. Jesus hung around with everyone. boys, girls, rich, poor(mostly), sick, healthy, etc. in fact, i bet he even went up to gay people and tried to heal them so they would be straight.

Most Christian faiths would say so.

However, I challenge you to find any reference to lesbians or women sleeping with women in the bible anywhere, in any way, positive or negative.

Here gay marriage is legal nationwide and no mainline church (here it means Catholic, Orthodox and Anglican) performs SSMs, even though the Archbishop (as well as the most important Rabbi) fully aknowledged their support to the city govt (which was one of the few provinces where civil unions were legal)

Still not sure why it's ironic.

You notice it starts with women turning to women, that leads to men turning to men.

Some conservative christians even say that doesn't refer to homosexuality, but the first 2 with "temple prostitutes" and the third one of any sex that isn't vaginal (ie, anal, oral and masturbation).
But I'm a liberal christian, so WTF

My surname is French basque, but my nation's name is in no way of that origin. It comes from the Farsi name Eskandar/Iskandar/Iskander (Alexander) and the Greek polis

Some of the things you people say are psycho. I've never heard anybody say "God is evil, the Bible is sexist, Christianity is hateful, etc". Until I came on NSG. I've heard atheists accuse my religion of being stupid, which is a scapegoat argument, but I've never heard these accusations until I came to this site. I think it's the most messed-up, misconceptual, misconstrued, mindless merde I've ever heard.

Well, Christianity on a whole has had a rather bad record of doing rather hateful thing for the majority of its existence as a religion. And the Bible also does advocate, through the OT mainly but also to a lesser extent in the NT, dangerous ideals that shouldn't be seen as good things.
