I don't know how I'd react. Try as I might, I just can't envision it. If my SO did cheat on me, I'd have to first find out where our relationship ran off track then I'd have to decide if I could forgive them. I can forgive them easier for sex than I could a relationship, even if there was no actual sex involved (like online).

I was lucky enough not to personally witness my ex's exploits with other women. Finding out about it later tended to involve a lot of crying and a fair amount of yelling. I suspect seeing it firsthand would involve about the same amount of crying, but even more yelling and possibly an addition of smashing things.

I'd be confused and hurt. More than once, I've brought up being in an open relationship and that if my wife ever wanted to "experiment" with another, we could talk about it. The idea that she would go behind my back after such a conversation would lead to the breaking of multiple expensive vases. Of course, I would have to go out and purchase the expensive vases and then break them but know this - vases would be broke.

If however this was not the case, I'd enquire why the hell, if they were going to cheat on me, they were stupid enough to do so at home. Point the partner towards the couch for the night before I did something I regretted and then discuss it with them the next morning. A very very good explanation however would be required for me not to end the relationship there and then and demand they be gone from the house by the evening.

Erm... that entirely depends. if it was sex, then I'd react the same as I did last time, ask who it was, and how it was, and say I hoped they'd had fun. I don't see sex as a particularly big deal. if it was a relationship I'd stumbled in on, I'd feel upset that they didn't trust me enough to tell me, and I'd go over it with them to see if it's something they actually want to do. I don't think I'd be too bothered by it, unless it turned out that it was to end my current relationship.
