Why I play NationStates

Okay, with Christmas almost here, it is time to make a poem for NationStates, on why I play it.

Why I play NationStates

Why do I play NationStates,
When I was supposed to look at dates;
It shall spread my political ideology,
Even if I do not excel on psychology.
I shall roleplay my nation with other people,
To prevent myself clinging to the old steeple;
NationStates gave me proud ideals,
Ensuring that Juche was part of deals;
My nation shall be climbing on,
Before I fall apart and be gone.
That is why I play NationStates,
So I will forget what the date is now!

And that is why I play NationStates, so feel free to add why you play NationStates or comment on mine.

Oh. The best part is, it is healthy. I actually lurk on the community I used to go on before I started NS in late 2009 (guess who? This is my 3rd main nation).

Actually, when I read between the lines, Charlotte Ryberg, I read, "I play it as an excuse to join the NS United Nations and/or the World Assembly." Feel free to argue against that and prove your original post. Nice statement though. And thanks for the comments, just churn some more.

I meant that I didn't like what the policies the then Labour government were coming up with so I decided to create my own country and see how I could rival them.

I am not intending that, rather, I am trying to bring back the nostalgia from the old thread which now has been deleted once the server goblins of Jolt ate the post while moving over to the forum, like all the old Pre-Jolt posts.

You and me both. I've been playing for over 4 years and I still love it. I also have 4 other nations that are my puppet cause it gets dull after a while and I experiment with diffrent options.

The gameplay is the forums IMO. Though I don't RP on the official forums too much, people are either unable to grasp the basics of anything or instead dogmatically worship the inofficial guidelines as divine rules.

But why do I do it? You don't unlearn a long-time habit like this overnight. Yeah, I'm yet to CTE for the first time on this nation.

I just goof off in F7, sometimes participate on NSG and once attempted to RP. I don't play the game, although I thought about it not too long ago. But the effort of making a factbook and the endless squabbles in II discouraged me.

It is not, "Where do I play NationStates," it is, "WHY do I play NationStates."
