We just do what Christians do without church stuff. We celebrate Christmas with the present giving, etc. On Easter we give Easter Eggs which I don't know if you have in America... We do it all but take away anything to do with Jesus or God. Even though Christmas wasn't the birth of Jesus, but a Pagan Holiday that the Christians stole...

We celebrate Christmas, just like Christians do, but only for the gifts and the food and the company.

But what about the Jesus and Christmas thing?

Seeing as Christmas is not so much about worshipping Jesus than it is worshipping the Invisible Hand, there's no real difference. Not to mention that it's originally a pagan festivality, and most of the traditions, such as feasting and drinking, have stuck.

Easter, um, I just enjoy having a couple days off and go drinking.

What does Jesus have to do with big turkey dinners? Or exchanging gifts? Or watching TV while half asleep after the previous two things? There's plenty of things involved in Christmas that one can enjoy without caring about Jesus in the slightest.

What next your going to hate ob me because I celebrate Hanukkah and Kwanzaa for more presents even though I am neither black nor Jewish.

I look at Christmas as a way of enjoying time with my family that I rarely see. Marriage should be performed the same way, I dont see why I should alter the tradition just because of my beliefs. I sometimes go to church on the holidays in respect to my family.

Civil marriage has been around for a long time in a lot of places. It was how my parents were married, both being non-religious.

They don't entirely hate gays. Only those that have sex with other mature people.

But how do Christians celebrate the winter solstice, then? I know a lot of them do, but I'm kinda confused, doesn't the Bible say something about worshipping false gods, with false referring to all others except Jhv?
