Hello I am Chyeknovostan, people in F7 call me Misha, My first name is Sasha,I was born in Lviv,Ukraine(during the cold war). And moved to Novgorod when I was 8, Then to Moscow when I was 14. I served in the Airforce for two years, and had to leave and get switched to Army as a sniper for six years. I was in the 2008, Georgian War. I speak Russian, bits and peices of Ukrainian, and learned Spanish on a visit to Cuba. I spent 4 years learning English to help me with learning about Politics and linguistics. I'm a guy, I live in Canada, as for political ideology, I say I'm a socialist, some tests call me a socialist, others say I'm a liberal, others say I'm an anarchist, and some say I'm a Communist, but I understand that I'll ultimately be what people call me. I consider myself to be a hippie in most cases, cuz I'm not exactly the one to agree with all of a built-up hippie society, but I get along super well with those who do. In terms of high school stereotypes, I don't like them that much but I'm generally in the Emo/Goth/Normal categories. I am strongly against girly girls and think they are a horrible result of a sexist society, and strangely feminist compared to most other guys, though sometimes I kinda take it to extremes. In terms of hobbies, ummm... NationStates is a hobby, I guess? I also play several strategy games, and I don't mean dumb things like Age of Empires (woops, I just offended half the population of the US,) more in the vein of Hearts of Iron 2 and Europa Universalis 3. And yes, I do play Minecraft cuz it's awesome. I like sports, but I'm not that good at them. I also like writing about teenagers who start revolutions and then start kissing each other. I secretly wish aliens would come and magically take all modern weapons, destroy them and magically replace them with medieval equipment.

I've been playing NS for a month or so, but I've never actually posted in the forums, partly because I'm active elsewhere and partly because I never really thought about it. So, yeah.

I'm an anarchist, if the flag didn't tip you off. The game's depiction of anarchy is a slight annoyance, but it doesn't particularly impede my gameplay. It's not like that's an uncommon view of what it is, so... *shrug*. I'm also bi, but I don't really make a huge deal out of it. I live near Nashville, TN.

I'm into music (both listening to it and making it), reading (mostly "highbrow" fiction, radical politics, and postmodernist philosophy), writing, film, anime, philosophy, psychology, and self-deprecation.

Musically, I'm sort of all over the place. I have a tendency to only listen to a few bands or artists or composers or whatever for a week or two, then completely switch gears to completely different stuff. I probably have a higher tolerance for dissonance than 99% of the population, although I don't just listen to crazy avant-garde stuff; I just happen to enjoy it.

Hello! My nickname is Tāne, my friends play NationStates and they introduced me to it. I am from Colorado, though you will see I do not use American spelling. I was brought up in a nonreligious nondenominational Christian family, though I now am unreligious (though I wouldn't say an Atheist; but certainly not a Christian). I however love to learn about religions, and there are few religions I do not know the basics about.
I am an Eco-Socialist, and I believe the environment is important and that we need to protect it. I was, for several years a Stalinist though I wish to separate myself far from it.
Right now I love Kolohe Kai and I highly recommend them (they're fantastic, truly)! Other bands/singers I like are Example, Lady Gaga, Paolo Nutini and Adele.
One of my favourite hobbies is reading. Some of my favourite books are Les Miserables (Hugo), Nausea (Sartre), The Idiot (Dostoyevsky), War and Peace (Tolstoy), and Even Silence has an End (Íngrid Betancourt). I recently ordered The Penguin of Death (Monkton) and I am eagerly looking forward to reading it.
I love New Zealand and Maori Culture. I hope to move to New Zealand one day (and I have it planned out!).
And a note on my nickname: Tāne is the nickname my friends gave me (they're Maori). Tāne Mahuta, literally "Lord of the forest" and as I love the forest and nature, they gave me it as a nickname.

I am New Freedomstan (was a wee bit drunk when thinking off a name, I admit). I'm a norwegian from a small-farmer family on one parent's side, and a working class family on the other. Personally, I think I'll study physics... because I'm from the first generation where advanced education has been reachable by the majority. Was technically brought up christian, but only a few in my family gives a shit about religion. Can't really say I was broght up in one particular sect of christianity, as no-one really cared about religion(apart from my father's aunt). Still am christian to some extent, although I don't believe in the Bible.

Musically, I enjoy listening to heavy metal, melodical death metal, folk metal, hard rock, classical music and rap. As for films, I like comedy, horror, action and documentaries. In spare time I am politically active, play video games, surf random places on the internet, read, hunt and work on the farm. I also have a little to much love of liquor, although not excessively so.

Politically, I'm a Marxist-Leninist. I became that when I started checking out the norwegian parties, and realised that the communists were the only ones who are really on the side of the working class and small-farmers. Before that I had supported the Labour Party. I support the USSR (although not blindly) up till Gorbachev.
