Hello from the wilds

Postby Shamhnan Insir » Mon Jul 08, 2013 4:36 pm

Hello fellow world leaders, dignitaries and Royals.
I'm a 22 year old university graduate that volunteers a lot. I spend most of my time outdoors if possible and am one of those mad people who actively works to protect and research wildlife.
I love to cook. Music makes my life. I read, fish, draw, compose, hunt, construct, paint, climb, swim and finish it all off with a fine whisky preferably from Islay.

Well, I'm not sure what you want to know about me for but here we go.
I've had Nationstate before, but I lost track of what the nation was all about, and a sense of national identity, so I neglected it and have decided to just let it die.

That might happen to this one too, I don't mind.

Rusdocka has a marine/steampunk/postapocalyptic theme, and I intend it to be a place of pirates, industrialists, corruption, and vice.

I'm hoping it'll end up with plenty of economic/corporate freedom, and the other freedoms mid or high, one of these four categories:
Capitalizt
Anarchist
Corporate Bordello
Capitalist Paradise

The local currency is the rivet, and the national animal is the clawshark.

Don't ask what the clawshark is, nobody has survived seeing one in detail.
We're not even sure it has claws.
It's just what the pathologists say.

Oh, and I have no idea what to put on the flag.
Any ideas?

Hello, let me re-re-reintroduce myself.

I'm a 30-something layabout/office monkey in North West England. You can see our charming city (the youngest city in....Northern England, at least), in this delightful Google Street View.

"The Shambles" has been my country on NS for years (and it's about 10 or more years now). I'm not much of an RPing person at all, so that's why I tend to just update my Factbook and type occasional news-stories rather than join in. As it happens, the country has been moved from a group of fictitious islands off the coast of Africa to Iceland in the time I've been here, and may move again in time. As it goes, I'm quite happy as it is just ticking by doing occasional updates - how much real RPing could a fake-Iceland actually do?

Anyway, I've been here before and likely be here for much time again.

Hello everybody!

I'm just your average run-of-the-mill university student looking to find his place in the (real) world, but I thought I'd give this place a go too after hearing of it from a friend.

I hope to get along with you all during my time here.

Hi, I am Lucidus, my nation name means "Lucid Being" in latin. I am a creature of Chaos and an Anarcho-Monarchist, I like to think of things in multiple ways at the same time to come to solutions and compromises. At heart though, I'm probably a pragmatic pluralist, though I tend to have anti-realism tendencies. It's nice to meet everyone anyway :p

I do not know if this counts as "gravedigging", but it says to introduce yourself, so here I go.

I am Ye Olde Natione. AKA the annoying Mod forum "town idiot". However, for the sake of my record, I wish to start anew. I apologize to all of the Mods, and hope you find it in yourselves to forgive me. I wish to stay away from the Mod forum unless in dire straits, or in danger of my life. As goes for my partner nation, yespmed. Yespmed was meant for a clean slate for the Mods, but it still gained the dissaproval of the Mods. I wish to abide by the General forum rules and regulations, and I throw myself to the mercy of the Forum Moderators of Nation States, for I have reformed. Thank you, and Good Day!

I probably should have made my first post here.

I'm British, an atheist and a Marxist. I'm not fond of Stalinism or the former Soviet Union.

I seem to have started off with a really awful economy, so I should probably get around to fixing that.

I was born and raised in Georgia (the state, not the country). My dad was Jewish who converted to Christianity and my mother converted to Baptism in college. When I was 18 I was baptized Episcopalian, and eventually became ordained as a priest.

I am married and I do have two beautiful children. I enjoy history, theology, creative writing and studying philosophy. I typically avoid politics where possible, but do consider myself a supporter of the Log Cabin Republicans. Thats all that comes to mind presently

I am Mkuki. Currently a high school senior and devout atheist.

From another thread:

Mkuki wrote:Something I posted on another forum with a few tweaks here and there. It's fairly comprehensive, sans the last two years.

My name is Antoine and I will soon be an 18-year old high school senior. No, I did not fail a grade, I had to start school late because my birthday is on September 9, eight days after labor day. Anyways I was born in Warner Robins, Georgia, but moved to San Antonio, Texas in 2000 because my dad got transferred from Warner Robins AFB to Randolph AFB. Ever since kindergarten, I've gone to the same school district which is unusual for a military kid. A couple of years ago my dad moved us to Columbus, Georgia for a job at a computer company. I've never lived anywhere except for Georgia and Texas.

My first love before history was Geography. Though I don't remember much, my Mom has told me that when I was a kid, I was always looking at/reading maps. I believe during the 4th or 5th grade, I developed a particular interest in politics that I've held since. During middle school I won our school Geography Bee twice (7th and 8th Grade). Although I might have won in 6th grade, but I lost in a controversial ruling. Also during middle school I participated in UIL. During UIL, I participated in many different events and winning First Place in at least a few of them. In my last year in Middle School, I competed in Maps, Graphs and Charts, Social Studies, Spelling, Dictionary Skills, and Modern Oratory.

During Elementary, I believe 2nd or 3rd grade, I developed this obsession with Star Wars that holds to this day. I've read so many Star Wars books, that my mom has had to force me to get different books whenever we go to the Borders.

I believe that my interest in history truly kicked off in 3rd or 4th grade, which was when I developed a fascination with World War II and was furthered when I did a fabulous PowerPoint on the Battle of Britain in 5th Grade for my Zenith Program (GT) classes. I've recently expanded my knowledge of history beyond World War II and the ACW in the last two years, but I've still got a long way to go before i reach the knowledge that some people have. Also during Elementary school, I used to bring big, fat books on World War II with atlases showing the movements of armies and navies. Recently I've developed more of an interest in politics, political ideology, and religious philosophy.

One of my biggest problems is procrastination, my favorite sport is basketball, I don't play musical instruments and I love to read Alternate History books. Also I hate the amount of disrespect that some of my classmates show for other cultures. I'm sure it isn't the majority, but...

As far as my personal politics, I am a liberal who most identifies with social democracy and has very few conservative beliefs, the death penalty being my biggest exception. My religious beliefs can be easily summed up in five words: antitheist, anti religious, secular humanist. I am also straight, identify as an African-American, and am a partial follower of Epicureanism.

I favor the Sith, Obi-Wan Kenobi is my favorite character in Star Wars, and Star Wars: Battlefront is the greatest shooter in the history of video games. I enjoy playing strategy games, especially those from Paradox Interactive. I love to debate politics and I love to debate religion.

I am a Brony, I despise social conservatism and I have recently begun to watch more anime. One Piece is my favorite anime, I love Criminal Minds, and I am a firm believer in Republicanism. Harry Reid irritates me, Barack Obama frequently disappoints me, and I have a distrust of corporations. I believe politics should be free of the money of special interest groups, I watch The Young Turks, and Rachel Maddow is one of my favorite political pundits. I like to listen to the ForceCast, I am sympathetic to laïcité and socialism, and France is my favorite country after the United States.

All in all I haven't had a very exciting life, but I like it just the way it is.

*PS: When my brother was born, my mom asked me what I'd like to name him and I said Logan. My mom liked it and went with it. 8)

Howdy folks! I'm Qahadim, but feel free to address me using any abbreviation you feel is appropriate. I'm in my mid twenties, recently divorced with no kids. I live in the rural Midwest, born and raised. I'm left leaning in my politics on social matters, and right leaning on economics. I'm non-interventionist, a staunch proponent of national sovereignty. I work at a local restaurant as a cook. I love to sing, especially country music. Though my taste tunes is very broad, ranging from classical to modern techno. I play the trumpet, and love jazz because of it. I describe myself as hetero-comfortable. Which means that I'm into women, but have no objections with kissing a man. Though no sex gentleman, sorry. I like to hunt, and fish, abs all that outdoorsy stuff. I like to read. My favorite book series is A Song of Ice and Fire by GRRM. I also like historical non-fiction and I'm currently thumbing through Sun Tzu's Art of War. I don't watch TV, even if I'm in the room, preferring to be nose deep in my phone surfing the intrawebz. In my spare time I enjoy puffing on a J and zoning out to video games, or a D&D session. I smoke cigarettes, but am trying to quit. I don't drink often, and when I do my limit is very low. I'm short for the average guy, but well kept and in decent shape. I have siblings, all of whom have children. My mother sadly is no longer on this plane, but my father is still alive and kicking like the Marine he used to be. I'm am agnostic and try to avoid discussing religion cause it never ends well, much to the chagrin of my father.

I think that'll do. It's nice to meet y'all, I hope we can all find mutual understanding and kinship.

Your test scores indicate that you are an open-minded ultra-progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a journalist. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a balanced attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear neither committedly capitalist nor socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a liberal.

To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a sensible realistic egalitarian with several strong convictions.

Hi, I've intentionally waited 7 or so years to finally post something with this nation. I've played this game since I was a youngin', I was into the idea of creating your own nation and going on a rampage and taking over things, but that was bit harder than it seems here, but nevertheless I still come on this game occasionally for nostalgic purposes.
