Pull the power back, push the rudder opposite of the spin, so if you're spinning left, push right rudder, and gently but firmly pull back on the Yoke. Keep ailerons steady though.

You forgot to pitch over and neutralize the ailerons. We're all dead.

You pitch over once we're out of the spin yes, otherwise you're just going right into a power off stall.

No, remember your acronym. PARE - Power idle, ailerons neutral, rudder opposite the spin, elevator down to break the stall, then gradually increase pitch attitude to return to level flight.

You also forgot to neutralize the ailerons. If I was going to put you in an accelerated spin, the ailerons wouldn't be anywhere near neutral, so holding them steady wouldn't get you out of the spin.

Well I meant neutral, sorry it's midnight here and I'm not exactly on full power.

I did do the correct sequence of events though, I just left out what you do once you stop the spin. Also, you forgot to push the power back in after you break the stall.

Depending on your airspeed, of course. It's possible to be way past Vne if you don't react with the reflexes you did when you were in training.

True. Of course in order to get back to straight and level flight, you'd want to push the power back in.

What aircraft do you fly? Piper Cherokee 180 here.

Edit: Sorry for the thread jack.

I'm checked out in the Cirrus SR20, Piper Seminole, Twin Star, and the 172 (FG and RG). It's been a while since I've flown a Twin Star though, so I'd probably have to crack a book before I hopped in one again. The G1000 cockpit is nice, but you gotta know what you're doing.

But his first term could have been fantastic if he had not made so many stupid decisions after it. After all, a memo did make it to Bush's desk that did say Bin-Laden was going to try and attack America, but bush was on vacation. He took more vacation days than any other president.
