These images (encased in spoiler tags) are some of them:
I've seen these actors on various BBC shows before; they could be good, if the casting directors tried them out. The tan-skinned nurse in the first image has appeared a lot on various BBC productions, think I've seen here in Doctor Who once or twice, and as for the blonde one who plays Kath in Casualty, seen her in some other things. They're pretty hot, but they could be good actresses too. It's a gamble to try extras as new characters, but could it work?
Anyhow, let's not forget that Brad Pitt began as an extra 23 years ago, and Jackie Chan and Ben Affleck started out this way. Same for Renee Zellweger too.
Also, James Michael Tyler aka Gunther from Friends as well... Gunther was a minor character wasn't he?
The question is, where do you find good new talent these days other than via X-Factor/American Idol-style auditions?
Saying that, watching Medium I saw some good new actors I'd never heard of before - Ian Reed Kessler and Ellen Hollman. Never heard of them, but they were good at their roles.
But the scene with Diedrich Bader in a bikini - yeuch!
Anyone else seen minor characters/extras they think are good?
