yes anyone can get into heaven. its not a country club. god loves everyone.

Everyone is equal in the eyes of God, but some are more equal than others.

That's the whole point of faith. Your mind and heart ain't doing to much when you're dead.

So you're implying that the soul and such is located within our physical bodies? That's even more ridiculous to believe, even on a theological level.

If at death you lived a horrible life but could accept Christ and get into heaven, then its only really done out of convenience and out of fear of going to hell. Most Christians I know accept Christ out of love, and desire to live for Him because they want to be in paradise to be eternally in His presence praising Him for how great He is.

That really doesn't answer my question at all, but whatever.

In a parallel universe, I expect.

Unless you can point to where in those organs a soul has been found.

No. The Bible clearly states that anyone, of any moral standard, cannot enter Heaven unless they accept Jesus as their savior and show unconditional, relentless servitude and devotion to God and his Commandments. Ergo, a morally sound Hindu, atheist, Buddhist, Muslim or any other person of a different religious affiliation cannot enter and will be condemned to an eternity of incalculable suffering.
You should not give in to evils, but proceed ever so boldly against them.

What is asserted without reason may be denied without reason.

A lie is a lie even if everyone believes it. The truth is the truth even if nobody believes it.

He that will not reason is a bigot; he that cannot reason is a fool; he that dares not reason is a slave.

I quoted Christ's own words, so its not my own statement, first off.

Don't try to blame 'Jesus. You said "It seems pretty clear and cut. " About scripture. I shouldn't even need to explain why that's a nonsensical sort of thing to say.

Yenke-Bin wrote:Second, I think it is really clear what is being said in this instance, and you seem to want to play Bill Clinton by asking what the definition of is, is. You want to play around with words to try to take to focus off of the point.

Blah blah... what a lot of prevaricating before you get to a point, such as it is.

Yenke-Bin wrote:Just like a tunnel is the way through a mountain, Jesus is the way to the father. To follow after Him is the only path that gets people to heaven, and to follow after him means to deny your self, accept him as lord of your life, and let him guide you.

So you believe that Jesus is a literal portal? No - clearly not - so NOT "Just like a tunnel is the way through a mountain", at all.

What you appear to mean is that you think 'belief on Jesus' is what is meant by 'through' - but there's no reason to believe that except that you want it to be so.

Jesus was crucified on Passover. His sacrifice is that of the (Passover) lamb, and that is, indeed, how he is referred to. That means, your human faults are hidden under the blood of the lamb - belief is NOT necessary for the Passover sacrifice. (Although, interestingly, EATING the lamb is. You could say that is one of the things Catholics got right).

So your claim that it is "pretty clesar and cut" is nonsense. It's an opinion, only - and a weak one at that, because it ignores a whole wealth of scriptural reasons why it's simply not true. (The Passover ritual, the scapegoat, Jesus' discussion of children as an example, etc).
