Less taxes for the wealthy, more on the middle class

I would also point out that the "we shouldn't be paying for illegal immigrants" argument falls flat with me because I happen to agree with the UN that access to medical care is a human right and not a commodity to be traded or a privilege to be granted or withheld by government fiat.

And I am also very interested to see Sibirsky come up with a link to an alternative plan that will get the job done. As I said, I'll go for any plan that will remove the dangling sword of personal bankruptcy due to just one serious illness from over my head. But I've heard claims that such plans exist many times, without ever being shown such a plan. I've seen more evidence for Bigfoot, frankly.

I especially giggle when Congressmen like John Boehner Say things like; "We can't afford it right now" or "It's too expensive" or "We shouldn't rush healthcare reform."

Easy for him to say. He has healthcare coverage. :p

When was the last time a congressman got his insurance canceled?

Why don't the politicians enroll in this new program should it pass? Nope, they will keep their current system.

Oh no, they illegally came to America and are doing menial labor while paying taxes and into Social Security and getting nothing back, how ever will we recover from such horrendous crimes!

Ok. Well not ok, but we were not discussing your situation at the moment. We were saying how ILLEGAL immigrants should not be provided healthcare at the expense of American citizens.

Yes, we are discussing his situation. The OP is about healthcare reform, not about how illegal immigrants are destroying the nation. That's just a strawman conservatives are using to try to distract from the real issue, which is that the US healthcare system is broken, and it's broken because it's focused more on profit and less on helping people.

Treznor I am merely saying we were not discussing his situation over the last few posts. I have not dug up those plans for, exactly people like him and his mother. I am at work, working, scorinating a regional tournament, and doing about 10 other things. Eventually, I will get to it.

Firstly the majority of Americans ARE insured, and its the majority that carry America. The Republicans don't want to help cut cost, because they don't feel that someone else should be paying for your healthcare. Its not my job to pay for your healthcare and you have no right to steal money from me or any other American to pay for your health insurance. I feel bad that your mother is uninsured, but she is not my responsibility.

Yes. That is the core issue. I think we ALL can agree that the problem is exponentially rising costs of healthcare. It is how we address that problem where we split. I believe healthcare is rising at something like 3 to 4 times FASTER than everything as a whole.

And politicians are even worse. The Social Security Administation spent $700,000 on a party. These people are supposed to be PUBLIC SERVANTS. And they go party at the taxpayers expense. In a middle of an economic depression. When unemployement is almost at a double digit rate. And counting the underemployed, and people who stopped looking the unemployment level is 21%. So 1 out of 5 people are out of work, and politicians are partying.

No one should be forced to help someone else. As Sibirsky an Opola have stated a large portion of the uninsured can obtain health insurance. Everyone uses at least some of the money they make at work for luxuries such as vacations not just the ''greedy'' corporations. And no it is NOT their job to pay off anyone's health expenses unless its their own.
