I was wondering, if Max Barry created NationStates he must have a nation?

In other news, I wonder, it raises the question, since he made this site, surely his nation should be, at least, amongst the first who ever registered, so simply jumping into the largest population list should whittle it down somewhat.

Indeed. At present, he has 54,702 of them.

Only 54k? Wow. Part of me is still living in the days when there were 100k+ active nations.

Yes, Equalopolis II, there is a Max Barry. He exists as certainly as Democracy, and Socialism, and Nazism exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Max Barry. It would be as dreary as if there were no Equalopolis II. There would be no NationStates then, no Forum 7, no International Incidents to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight.

Not believe in Max Berry! You might as well not believe in the United Nations! You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the forums, but even if they did not see Max Barry posting, what would that prove? Nobody sees Max Barry, but that is no sign that there is no Max Barry. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see communists and objectivists dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that's no proof that they don't. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the forum.

Not necessarily... Playing your own game can be quite awkward. And besides, once you find the nation with the population of > 1 trillion and a GDP higher than every other nation combined, chances are, you've found Max Barry... :p

I felt it captures the essence for the quest for Max Barry better than any original work by myself could have

Every once in a while, people will pick someone and speculate that the person is actually Max Barry in disguise. I was picked once a few years ago. Back before I was a mod. I behaved very oddly back then. :)
