Best the UK, cause it's the most recognised flag in the world, and looks cool on designs.

I think South Africa's flag is really interesting, mainly because it breaks so many rules of flag design yet still manages to work really well.

Stars and Stripes and Union Jack are two very distinctive flags, so is Brazil's as well.

Also, the flag of the Napoleonic Italian Republic is pretty unique.

Now the old South African flag is woefully uncreative. It's a tricolor (done to death) and it has other people's flags in it.

The US flag is incredibly ugly. Too many stripes and too many stars, it just doesn't work. It still looked somewhat appealing back with the 13 stars or the lone star flag of Texas. The current flag is just atrocious.

Best: I think the Union Flag of Great Britain is the nicest looking flag. I can't believe how many people think the US has a bad flag, I think it's got to be one of the very best because unlike so many flags it actually has a very interesting meaning.

I'll agree with you there. Also, I still find it really funny everyone keeps going after tricolors, but you have to admit that at the time France came up with it, it was an incredibly inventive and innovative new flag design. It's really funny when people go after France for having a tricolor (and in red, white and blue, no less).

It's like going after the USA for having stripes on their flag; "my god, how so overdone, Malaysia, Liberia, Uruguay much?"

Or the UK for having crosses on their flag; "what's the matter, three crosses weren't good enough, so they'll throw on a fourth? Pu-lease, crosses are so 14th century. And it's not even off-kilter like the Scandis!"

The American flag wasn't designed in the 21^st or 20^th Century. Therefore, it was a different time when it was created and it was meant to be symbolic. Having the stats and stripes on it is not to help retarded assholes remember the number of states and colonies, its to remember the tradition and history of the United States.
