There are many different people with many different beliefs that are called "Satanist." So much so that the term has little meaning.
Some people who are called Satanist are evil and/or have done evil things. Some are nice, moral people. Same is true of almost any set of religous beliefs.

One does have to question the wisdom of calling oneself a Satanist to begin with as it inevitably evokes the image of a Abrahamic symbol of evil.

I agree. Big Jim P is a satanist and he's one of the coolest posters of NSG. He isn't judgmental, like some of the Christian posters and... he taught a few of us about satanism and the difference between that and those who worship Satan. It's not the same thing at all.

Satanists don't worship Satan anyhow, so the OP = fail.
