"See Vampire Bite.Bite vampire Bite." There just wrote the first book in a better series (and in the style of See Spot Run, which is the best friken book ever). Honestly, why getting so angry over someones opinion of a piece of preteen literature. Frankly I think that when they pick up Dracula thinking it will have disco ball vampires in it they will get the shock of their lives when they find out how Bram envisioned vampires.

To make it even better, we could show them how the vampire myth got started, a very poor understanding of how illnesses spread and decomposition worked, specifically the several (Although I think it was mainly tuberculosis) that got the name "consumption".

I happen to know of someone who drew vampires as small freakish looking things that suffered from severely stunted growth and were generally weak, pathetic creatures that couldn't muster the energy to have sex even if someone were perverted enough to let them try. His reasoning was that there isn't much energy to be had from drinking blood.

As I understand it the book panders to pre-teen girls, who are known for throwing lots of money at things they like, even while older people are scratching their heads wondering what the fuck the appeal is. See: Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus.

In order to get out there, people have to have passed through a whole bunch of other towns and bought food and such there. Not to say Forks should go completely tourist trap with theme parks and crap, but if people want to go there and bring business, good for them.

I intensely disliked everything from Barney to Britney Spears and Nsync (well, the pop music crap is still something I thoroughly dislike, but now I'm more indifferent 'cause I rarely have to hear it). It's a consequence of living in the same house as someone who is a fan while you are not, thus having to listen to it/hear about it/watch it on TV/whatever combined with sibling rivalry.

I suppose that's also a possibility, although that never really came up in my relationship with my younger brother (I didn't particularly mind the music he listened to, the movies he watched, etc., even though they were very different from my own tastes -- as long as he didn't bother me much about them, I was fine with it).
