I've been there. A friend and I made the five hour drive after hearing that the entire town has been officially taken over by Twilight.

It was horrible. Lake Crescent was beautiful, La Push was a pretty cool beach and Port Angeles was nice, but Forks is just... no one should ever make a point of just 'going to Forks.' It's where fun goes to die.

In relation to the OP: They are quite a devoted troupe. You should've seen the firestorm that started when Stephen King said Meyer couldn't write worth a damn...

Anyway, I wonder, are certian countries are more suspectable to the Twilight craze than others? The fandom is pretty quiet where I come from (Canada), but one event at the local bookstore was large enough to appear in the news (I think i could hear the screeching from my house).

Ah well, I'm holding out for my "Blade vs. Twilight On Ice!" idea to get approved.

Don't be so sure of that. I'm in high school and that all the girls ever talked about.. >.<

I could say so many things about this book, but I think this picture pretty much sums up what happened when the books got released.
