A good friend of mine lent me the documentary "True Blood". Now, thus far, I've only seen the first season, and I'll spoiler the rest for those that haven't seen that.

A good friend of mine lent me the documentary "True Blood". Now, thus far, I've only seen the first season, and I'll spoiler the rest for those that haven't seen that. Now, we follow the story of Bill the vampire and his blonde girlfriend. I'm sure it's no news to all of you, but it documents how True Blood was invented by the Japanese, and subsequently, vampires came out in the open.
Now, Bill is a very likable guy. He drinks the manufactured product (most of the time), rather than drink human blood. However, he does drink human blood once (with consent), and once when he's really desperate (without consent).
It got me to thinking about the plight of vampires and carnivorous creatures in general. I'm not sure the best solution. Should we cull these carnivorous creatures, retrain them, or make them above the law and moral guidelines when they need sustenance?
I have lots of sympathy for Bill the vampire, but I also cannot forget that he is a bloodthirsty carnivore.
