Honestly, with the proof happening on 8-28, will Beck's rally be a big event?

I'm curious about what is going to happen at Glenn Beck's 8-28 rally in Washington D.C.

I'm stuck here in Los Angeles, maybe it's easier for east coast types to go to D.C.?

Is it Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton who want to stage a protest against this? I forget.

Anyway, various reports tell me this will be well attended. Wish I could be there... :(

I wish i could go too... my coworker got his vacation before me and i gotta stay home... I just hope those that are protesting this peaceful rally will wake up and actually see whats happening instead of kneejerk naysaying anything this man does.

As a US Veteran, dedicated to the principles this Nation is founded upon, I will not be attending this rally ran by traitors, and other such unAmerican elements, as Beck, and Palin.

End the special tax exemption for religion. Churches can apply for tax exemption like any other not-for-profit.... the only churches which would be concerned by losing this are the ones not doing anything genuinely deserving of tax-exempt status.

I don't understand Glenn Beck. He makes sense for 2 minutes just to get ratings, then turns around and sputters bullshit all over the T.V screen and act like a complete imbecile.
When anybody preaches disunity, tries to pit one of us against each other through class warfare, race hatred, or religious intolerance, you know that person seeks to rob us of our freedom and destroy our very lives.

What puzzles me is the amount of loyalists who justify everything the government is doing. I don't know if they sincerely believe the Government is acting on behalf of the people, or it's some kind of defense mechanism.

It's at the Lincoln Memorial, according to the information I just googled (I had to google it, I didn't know anything about the rally), so I doubt the Air Force would do something like that. Of course, I doubt they'd do it regardless of where it's being held.

Am I the only one who sees the irony in the fact that Glenn Beck's rally is at a memorial dedicated to a president referred to as "Honest Abe"?
