Um... do LGBTs have shame in first place?

Good question.

I know right, how dare they have self-esteem and confidence and pride in their own identities?

I rather think you can keep your 'shame.'

I'm all for protesting for what you believe in, but this is a bit over-da-top reaction. Now, if Target had made the donation with a note that said:

"Smear the queers
Love,
Target"

It would be more understandable. As of now, it's over political leanings.

What does it matter? Maybe if groups werent so shameful and disorganized, we wouldnt be in this mess. Its not flaunching to uphold what you believe in. Its democracy.

There is huge difference between free speech and advertising against a company just cos they support someone against you, in a private property. For example say I dont like your ideology (what ever it is), does free speech give me right to go to your workplace and shout to fire you from your workplace?

You've spent 25 pages repeating the same half a dozen claims, despite the fact that various posters have conclusively shown them to be false.

What is false exactly?

1) your assertion that LGBT individuals are asking for special rights.
2) you seem to think there is something wrong with being gay
3) you seem to think that LGBT have some sort of secretive culture we're going to force upon the world
4) you seem to think the protest at the store are an example of extremism.
5) you seem to think the protesters are bigoted.

All of these have been shown to be false.

Actually, it's not illegal to do that, just rude. You have to leave when they show you the door, though.

As I said before, I think the way they went around doing this wasn't very well planned, or very tasteful, but it wasn't illegal, since they left when the manager told them to get out.

Not every law needs to be written in national law, there are some rules which are social constructs and are unwritten. ;)

For example, there is no rule in NS, saying you cant have 100,000,000 quad trillion man army when your population is 100 million. But you cant have it.

Local law calls for a 10,000 dollar per usage fine that can be donated to the political campaign of the plaintiffs choosing (when on private property).

*Shrugs* Rudeness is better left unregulated. Not everybody agrees on what is rude and what isn't, and I'd rather have to suffer some rudeness than have to be overly politically correct and read through a thousand page etiquette guideline to avoid ever offending anyone.

So yeah, go ahead and say you think the protesters in the video are being rude. I agree that they are somewhat(mostly the part about the megaphone). But they're neither radicals nor doing anything illegal, though.

And compared to what other people get away with on the account of free speech (Westboro fucktards anyone?), I don't think it's that bad in the end.

What the hell?

...You seem remarkably incapable of comprehending society, humanity, law, any number of other elements...

You asked if free speech gave you that right. Astonishingly enough, the answer was "Yes, it does, as long as you leave when told." Translation: it's legal.

Also, way to drag the RP stuff into here. But since you did, I'll use it. Of course there's no rule. And oddly enough, that doesn't convert into 'you can't have it.'

If you claim to have a lolhuge army, people may well ignore you.
If you protest at the store, you may well be asked to leave.

Those are what we call consequences. Those are not rules against it.

You've thrown around the phrase 'social construct' without really understanding its meaning or ramifications.

I've seen some people here saying that the republican candidate for governor of Minnesota would stop Minnesotan gays from marrying, but there aren't many gays here and a lot of the population in the capital and Minneapolis is homophobic. There are annual nazi rallies there and not really any gay pride things. We've had a Republican governor for 8 years now, which just shows people here are ambivalent towards gay rights.
When debating me or discussing something with me, remember five things:
1. I'm not moderate.
2. I'm not fascist/a nazi.
3. I'm conservative on social issues and liberal on economic issues.
4. I won't bother looking for six million sources for you.
5. I'm not always serious!

"Target suports hate and discrimination"
...
"Target is full of shit"

I think that all these homosexuals should stop spreading their message of hate against us heterosexuals. I mean, all we want to do is go on living our lives in peace without the oppressive LGBT hounding our every step!

Anyway, sure, Target, a private company, has funded an anti-homosexual candidate. So if you're gay or lesbian, stop shopping there. Why did they feel obligated to attack Target in this manner? I think I would personally find it less pigheaded if they had protested outside of the Target. Inside a private building, and with violent cutting remarks that do not logically support that didn't help support their position, is inappropriate. The manager of that store would have been completely justified in removing them from the store.

I realize it isn't profanity in a lot of places outside the U.S., but American English is quite odd in that way, where different words are on different levels of being rude than in other languages.

At this point Minnesota is probably not ripe for same-sex marriage, but "there aren't many gays here"?
