National security is a different matter. The individual citizen can't protect themselves from terrorist groups or a hostile state. However, when it comes to their choice of healthcare, education and employment, this is when socialists try and step in and dictate to their citizens as to how they should act / what they should do. Got that?

Also, choice of healthcare COVERAGE is exactly what the recent legislation has offered. Education is free, as it should be, and employment, I'm not sure what you're on about there.

As far as I can see, there's nothing keeping anyone from educating themselves, defending themselves, insuring themselves or employing themselves.

and the healthcare thing which I support BTW ... the way it is done is clearly unconstitutional since the fed govt is essentially forcing the individual to BUY healthcare.

You honestly think a bunch of terrorist cowards is going to enjoy the prospect of invading the US as a gun-happy and relentlessly xenophobic society? The "next 9-11" WAS thwarted by vigilant passengers who stopped the "shoe bomber" before he could blow up the plane he was on. The only weapon effective against paranoid vigilance is time, and the terrorists are certainly that patient. But don't think for a moment that a nation armed is going to sit back and let bin Laden's goons get away with anything.

Honestly, this is nothing more than a thread generalizing about leftists on this forum without any backing evidence. I could just as easily state "all rightists on this forum have poor grammar and love Sarah Palin" and my assertion would be equally valid. Maybe there is some arrogance on the left, there is on the right as well...there are arrogant people period.

One last thing, I don't like Michael Moore being equated with Glenn Beck. Moore at least truly believes in the ideas he puts forth, even if he fudges with the data and is somewhat misleading in his movies, Glenn Beck is nothing more than an opportunist who spouts right wing propoganda in an attempt to elevate himself to godlike status (and make a pretty penny in the process). Sorry, just annoys me to see someone who is actually genuine lumped in with someone who is clearly not. Now compare Moore with someone like Ben Stein and I'm more willing to agree. Cowardice comes in all flavors, and I don't think it's cowardly to follow orders inside a jet that takes years to qualify in. It's not brave to brainwash simple-minded poor folk into thinking they're going to get laid by virgins in heaven (that's a good thing?) by blowing up non-combatants on the bus. If we can have varying levels of murder in the justice system, there can be levels of most anything else, including cowardice.

So, following orders and flying a jet = cowardice 5.
Convincing someone with no life and no hope of advancement to do something that will give his family money but cost him his own life and kill innocent people = cowardice 1.
