Leftist Arrogance

One thing I notice is that they always seems to feel like any opinion other than theirs is ignorant or wrong, and often cut people off from debating any further.

Solutions:
1.Report to moderation whenever you feel offended by someone's attitude instead of issuing blanket statements.
2.Find better arguments to persuade people of your own opinions.
3.Grow a skin.

Arrogance isnt refusing to take hold of an idea , its not tolerating it.

Conversely, I find myself under no obligation to tolerate an idea I have examined and found wanting. (Or in some cases, plain stupid.) I don't have to tolerate people who believe in Astrology, or the Nibiru Death Planet, or Young-Earth Creationism, or 9-11 Truthers, or Birthers, for just that reason.

Not all ideas are equally valid.

Pretty much. I remember when I used to be a communist joined the Party and the Young Communist League the whole nine. Only to make something awkward by saying the withering away of the State was utter nonsense. I guess communists believe that seriously I then realized I was far too much of a Statist to ever be a communist.

One thing I notice a lot on NS is that in the political section you will find many leftists commenting,
In fact it seems they are in the majority of NS debaters. One thing I notice is that they always seems to feel like any opinion other than theirs is ignorant or wrong, and often cut people off from debating any further.
This is not to say other Ideologies are perfect, oh no do not get me wrong on that, there are plenty of Anarcho Capitalists, Right wing Bible Readers, and Authoritarians who are arrogant and cut people off, but it to me just seems that leftists are the worst offenders.

Every ideology does that. It just seems to be worst in the group you disagree with most.

For example, I find the most arrogance and resistance to open debate to come from conservatives. This is probably because conservatives are the ones I most often oppose in debates here.

A lot of communists are rather young though and that is from my experience on both sites like Soviet Empire and RevLeft as well as in political organizations. I wouldn't say they are uneducated at all some are rather well to do humorously enough. I would say it is the Idealistic nature of youth more then anything that attracts people to Communism. Whereas it is the rebelliousness of youth that attracts them to things like Neo-Nazism and various types of ethnic nationalism.

Yes, but there are millions of books out there that are utter trash, but much more easily ignored because their fanbase is not loud and annoying (unless you wrk in retail and have to deal with people who think romance novels are high art.)
