Personally, I'd like to see some more sports at the Olympics.
My list would include:
cricket
pétanque/bocce (hey, they have curling at the Winter Games, right?)
horseback archery (you have equitation? you have archery? combine them for more win!)
crossbow marksmanship (after all it's halfway between archery and sharpshooting...)
rugby (I know, they would bitch between rugby league and rugby union... damn)
kendo (I find it way cooler than Olympic fencing)
fell running (aka mountain running... basically endurance running through mountains, that's pure badassery!)
cross-country (or trail) ultramarathon (the IAAF has already the 100 km race, badassery all the way)

So, what would you add?

cricket already shows in UK, and i don't think it would be particularly interesting.

Horseback archery yes that would be cool.
crossbow marksmanship, hmm i suppose that would be okay.
rugby no already have competitions for that.
kendo, eh i think they have their own organised events but i suppose it wouldn't hurt.
fell running, maybe that could be interesting i suppose.
cross country, meh already have them in competitions i think.

I would add the usual sports but enforce the rule that a new rule must be made every single match, just for fun, in event of people not liking a rule they get to make a new one. btw only the players can decide the rule.
that way every game is unique.

Most likely they are referring to it not actually being 'football'. American football doesn't solely use feet to move the ball does it? Neither does football/soccer, but the majority of movement is with the feet in them.
