There is no way this wasn't staged. Their two cars combined are worth more than my house. There is no way they couldn't have gone and picked up a decent vehicle. They obviously all colluded to go pick up a piece of shit at a junk yard so they could beat it up on camera and put it on youtube.

I mean look at the thing. Getting your kid a clunker is one thing, but that thing? Not to mention that the kid picks his banging targets awfully specifically and swings like a 4 year old. The father said something about paying $200 for the truck. That bat probably cost more.

This is just sad. If I was the father, I'd send him to Military School to understand the value of hard work.

Or acting school. The kid could use a few lessons.

I don't know, he seems generally pissed off. He could use some lessons on how to actually do damage with a baseball bat.

not sure the kid is "spoiled", he acts more like a psycho. I've seen 2 year olds whose tantrums are not that impressive.

Agreed, I was like Goddamn, they have a Hummer, and what looked like a Camaro in the Garage, how many cars do these people have?

That's a Challenger in the garage. The cars are very different so why not? I mean, you can't really compare an H2 to a Challenger and a pick up.

No wonder that kid's such a spoiled sh**. Don't the parents know standing by and shouting at the kid does nothing? I think I would've grabbed the kid and dragged him to his room if I'd been his parent. Then taken away the car and never given him anything worth over 100 dollars.

Nothing over $100? I think that was why he didn't like the truck.

Or alternately call the cops and have the little fuck arrested for vandalism. The title is presumably in the parent's name.

Damn, is getting a car for your 16th birthday really that common? :O Getting a car for any birthday is an alien concept to me, and I'm in a pretty well-off middle-class household. :eyebrow:

He could have approached it better but I'll be honest and say that there are some situations where it really does matter what you're driving, because people will look at you funny. Granted, some people can roll it off their chest, others would probably feel more comfortable... just not driving the car.

Why does this kid like taking his clothes off when he's mad?

Also, look at the cars his parents have, they've probably been spoiling the kid since infancy.

Um ok, well that is NO excuse for a 16 year old getting a free car. It would have been his first. Really as a first car almost anything goes. As long as it's running, and it's safe.

Which is exactly what these parents would have done if they hadn't staged it.

Looking into this further, this looks like it was staged. Check out the WoW-related video linked to in the OP's link. The kid doesn't start freaking out until the camera's in place, and the kid is playing without headphones, so he could easily have heard the little brother's "introduction" to the freak-out.

It's staged, and frankly, I'm getting sick of this bullshit -- not the OP, but the fact that people are so desperate for attention that they'll stage "outrageous" behavior in an effort to...what...land a reality show? Fuck these people.

I'll tell you what, my father's been supporting this family alone since my mother's health took a serious downturn about 13 years ago now. He was still kind enough to let me have a Ford pickup 1996 F150 once I got my license. It's a bit rusty and it has some mechanical issues, but I'm glad to have it, because I know how much it cost him and how much he has to go through just to keep this family going. He gave it to me because he knows I need transportation, and he wants me to be able to get established. He's a good parent, and he does what he can, when he can, which is something my siblings appreciate.
