I think I have to go with the "spoiled brat" thing. I can't wait for this nimrod to get out on his own with his "I am entitled" attitude, and see how far it gets him. It could be amusing.

Shit, Id be happy with that Truck now,

I didnt get my own car until my Mom's old car broke down and she had to get herself a new one, I was able to get the old one running, and still have it running 4 years later, its a '96 Hyudai Accent, without the doors working (I have to reach inside the door and get the latch to get out) and the Tranny's gears stick...

Fake, but I can believe there are kids out there who are like this, the ungrateful brats and all *shakes fist like the old person she is*

I'm just getting my first car at 25, it's about 11 years old and will probably last me a year at most (but is only costing me about £500) and frankly that's fine by me. If I'd learnt to drive at 17/18 then I might have inherited my mum's old car when she was looking to replace it, but otherwise the best I could hope for with my parents would have been to borrow their car when I was home. No way would I be getting a car of my own for uni - I just wouldn't need it.

I got a car when I was 17--a used (but nice) Mustang GT hardtop that was 5 years old and had about 70,000 miles on it. It was expensive--nearly what a new low-end car would cost--and my parents bought it for me.

My parents could afford it, I was an excellent (and only) child, and I am eternally grateful. It is very possible to give your children nice things--expensive things--without spoiling them.

I have to admit that I also once lost my temper about christmas presents (the entire family bought me so many feminine things that for me, it appeared that they all wanted to tell me off for being a tomboy), I also don't have Flash. But even so, I think from the description that this person acted grossly inappropriately (if this is no fake).

I got my first car when I was 30, and not from my parents - who could barely afford to keep us fed and sheltered. My kids both bought their first cars after they were on their own.

http://www.walletpop.com/blog/2009/07/0 ... present%2F

I would dump on the kid but the kid walks past AT LEAST $50k in vehicles on camera. They obviously picked up some horrible looking, probably non-working piece of shit on purpose. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if this was staged for YouTube or something.

I don't think it was staged, the kid was an idiot, and I think when he approached the truck he wasn't sure he was gonna hit it.

I agree with Ryadn. Staged.

There is no way this wasn't staged. Their two cars combined are worth more than my house. There is no way they couldn't have gone and picked up a decent vehicle. They obviously all colluded to go pick up a piece of shit at a junk yard so they could beat it up on camera and put it on youtube.
