I'm not accusing browsers of anything, my point was about people who actually POST on the site. Stop putting words in my mouth.

Old Erisia wrote:of being a part of every thing that "4chan" has done.

No, just contributing to the same site instead of actually distancing themselves from it, instead of saying something like "you know what, I'm not going to participate in a site like this anymore" etc...

Old Erisia wrote:The point of the board is that is anonymous and that there is no centralized part or even goal of the site.

I wouldn't be too surprised if there were alternatives even there. The point isn't about what 4chan is supposedly about so much as what it has caused.

I DO post on the site...

The site and its users are different things...

A minority of users have done things that are morally questionable. That they met through 4chan doesn't mean the site should be demonized.

Well, SOMETHING about its structure has clearly facilitated a lot of large-scale harassment...

It's its lack of order......Every user who accesses 4chan should be monitored, studied, and watched, their house bugges, and ways to reach their loved ones should they try anything out of line.

That, or install moderators. Anarchy is a horrible state of existence and should be stamped out at all costs.

Shouldn't you just bring your condemnation on the people who post on /b/ and not on the denizens of other 4chan boards that keep to themselves?

No. Either everyone suffers or no one shall....but that's currently just a pipe dream.

You've got as much a chance as cleaning the stain /b/ has left on 4chan's reputation as BP has of cleaning the oil spill without public relations damage.

How much better ARE the other boards, though? And how much separation is there between them (ie. how many users of other boards refuse to participate in /b/?) if we're to look at 4chan in terms of its subsections?

I like /tg/. /a/ has some amusing discussion and /w/ is ok for cool wallpapers.
I've taken part in an unbelievably awesome freeform colony building RP on /tg/ that was illustrated by professional illustrator. It is probably the most fun I've had on the internet.

Plus, Chanology is pretty admirable

I dunno. Anarchy is interesting on a website. I find it an interesting depiction of man's true nature.

4chan reflects what the human mind is really holding, when not constrained by rules and shame.

Well, such as it is, anyway.
