The site and its users are different things...

A minority of users have done things that are morally questionable. That they met through 4chan doesn't mean the site should be demonized.

Then there's plenty of alternatives to 4chan; there's obviously an abundance of online sources of "unusual porn" so that still doesn't qualify as a justification for participation in 4chan.

I've taken part in an unbelievably awesome freeform colony building RP on /tg/ that was illustrated by professional illustrator. It is probably the most fun I've had on the internet.
