Advocating free-will charity is quite a bit different than"no-state" state enforced wealth redistribution.

And the notion that rich people are potentially less likely to enter the kingdom of God is not communist. It merely demonstrates the truth behind the corrupting allure of wealth, and the amassing of wealth.

One can be rich, and still a Christian (that is to say, a follower of Jesus).

No, one can be rich and call oneself a Christian. Not the same thing.

No, you can be rich and still be a Christian. It just becomes harder as the more wordly riches you have, the harder it is to give your soul to the Lord. That doesn't make them mutually exclusive.

No, you can't. If you're rich, you're not a Christian, you're lying to yourself and paying lip-service to Christ.

Jesus was pretty explicit about giving away your wealth. If you have wealth, you're placing your temporal comfort above Jesus' will - and that means you're no real Christian.

Do not falsely equate being rich with having worldly comforts.

A good communist wants everyone to have equal access to everything. Jesus wanted to have nothing.

That is an interesting point. Sounds like he would have been friends with Lao Tzu or Buddha. Wait a minute...I think that's been said before somewhere...

Your misinterpreting the quote. He didn't hate them, he just meant they would sacrifice less to get into heaven because they had more. No hate their.

Also, I think Jesus was more of a left leaning centrist. But that's just me.

He didn't just hang out with one prostitute. He hung out with many. But this was well intentioned, wouldn't you hang out with the people of worst situations rather than best if you were trying to give hope and change to the world?

It isn't anywhere in the Bible. IIRC a sixth-century pope claimed she was a prostitute for some reason.

No, Jesus was not a communist, he occupies a curious place, Jesus never condemns the businessmen, though he is angered over the selling of sacrifices on temple grounds one can assume this was less a showing of hatred towards business then a anger over the corruption of the Jewish High Priests.

Jesus believed in personal charity, not state instituted, but he is hardly advocating the destruction of trade in total, he never rails against profit, I do believe that somewhere he even lauds it, he never rejects property, though he believes one should limit what they own.

Jesus very well could have been an anarchist, but a communist, no.

It was to make the female the weaker and more corrupt sex, so that it makes the church hold power over them. Simple Christian ways of medieval times.

But really, those would make up his communist buddies to commune(?) with.

Yes, pope...whathisname, connected Mary Magdalene and The prostitute in the rabbi's house to show that even if you're considered scum by people you can be a whole new person and be alongside jesus.

But Mary Magdalene wasn't a prositute, the reason she was with Jesus was because she was exorcised of seven demons living in her. >.>
