I'm sure there is something worse out there, but from personal experience I have to say "Son of the Mask". I caught this cinematic atrocity on TBS one afternoon, and it was horrendous. It was a train wreck of the epic variety, yet I couldn't look away. I get the chills just thinking about it....douche chills.

I'm not sure that was the dumbest movie ever, but it definitely sucked. I'm certain someone condensed the book to a single-page list of plot points and gave that list to a screenwriter who had never even seen the book as the outline for a script. And you're right, the book was good.

As to myself, seen a lot of very poor films due to Mystery Science Theater 3000. Spy Kids : 3D (which was utter pish, agreed, a damned shame as Spy Kids 1 was actually quite good) is nothing compared to Earth Vs. The Spiders or whatever.
