:shock: What are you on? Dorado is one of the cleanest municipalities on the island! And this includes the beaches. Maybe the more popular ones are dirty after a holiday, but most of the time they're very nice! What you have to do is find the ones that are less used. My mom and I go to this one really nice one to snorkel. Problem is, it's a beach by blocked by a hotel. Technically we're supposed to be allowed to use it (only the Hilton is exempt) because of that law that I'm sure you know about. But the guards don't like that. ;) Many a year ago, we were able to get in easily because the manager was our friend. Then that family moved but security was lax so it was fine. Now we can only get in because my mom does the hotel's newsletter and did a summer camp so the guards think she's clear to go in (and technically we are anyway... It's not like we're using the hotel facilities.) But this hotel isn't even in usage now. Only the members of a high end neighborhood get to use it. So we're doing the place a favor. Publicity. :D

I'm on nothing. The thing is that a few years ago a study was carried out on the beaches of PR and the beaches of that region, Arecibo, Dorado, Vega Baja and I think to an extent Cataño and San Juan came out as some of the dirtiest beaches. That's why I asked.

Don't worry, I'm fairly sure you're not actually on something. Anyways, I can understand Catanno, San Juan, Vega Baja, etc. But not Dorado. Perhaps that study focused on the region that included those municipalities but not necessary all of them were the ones with the dirtiest beaches.

Well, Vega Baja came as one municipality where the beaches had high concentrations of feces and mercury. Feces, dude! And Dorado and Vega Baja are side by side.

You're shitting me! Lol anyway, such contamination can be contained to a small area, even just one beach while the others can be perfectly fine to swim in. I mean, we don't normally swim after it's been raining a lot because while Dorado is very clean, you never know what'll wash into the water. But you know, Dorado used to be much cleaner than it is now. It got a little more polluted when all the idiots from Guaynabo heard how nice it is in Dorado. So there was a massive migration to this little town, to fuck it up. We had a nice little strip mall and other stores that suited our needs, for instance. They now built a HUGE strip mall that won't even get enough tenets to fill the space. There is also an even HUGER mall being placed where there used to be a nice treelined road and field. And those trees were about 100 years old too. Plus, they didn't have the permits to chop them down but they did anyway. Well all but two. The mayor saw this while he was driving and stood in front of the bulldozer and saved the last couple. But so now this place looks like a dirty horrible construction lot. And there is a rumor that it's going to be a CostCo. WE ALREADY HAVEA COSTCO THAT'S FUCKING FIFTEEN MINUTES AWAY!!!!!!! :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: I hate the greed horrible developers....

I would like to try these things. I don't really live near any large bodies of water that aren't horribly polluted though. Well, lake Huron might be ok, but the lack of a car makes it a bit difficult (plus it's cold).

I scuba dive, and would recommend it to anybody.

It's fun and, after you're underwater, effortless. You don't need to be physically fit at all. In fact, I once dove with a paraplegic.

Tis very true. Sila was a bit of a slut (oddly, I'm friends with her grandson). Anibal was corrupt, and Fortunno is just plain weird (oddly, I'm VERY good friends with his nephews...). Lol.

[quote="Nanatsu no Tsuki"]
Shhhh...

Meh, sue me. Fortunno came to our school and we were able to submit questions. Mine was one of the few that got chosen, but like the common politician, he didn't answer it at all and in a matter that only a select few teachers and myself picked up, claimed I was the one who was biased against the Populares.

(The question was about why the first vote in the plebiscite that is being debated about is needed and if he thought it was biased against the PPD. But like a true politician, he doged it, reversed it on me, and left it at that. (But also like a Republican, he managed to stick "freedom" in there.) A certain teacher of mine and I couldn't stop laughing once we talked about it after the visit.
